September 16, 201411 yr Author I did tbh thats why I the then after saud PL class as far as backups go Remy is at the top end of that.
September 16, 201411 yr Hmmm nope that's not what I said. I said one of the best strikers in the world For example Zlaten is one of the best strikers in the world and I'd class him as world class. The term can mean different things to different people. If Bobby meant world class backup as Xfactor suggests then I'd understand it more as it's hard to have genuine quality back-up these days. It could go round in circles though as you have no idea what I hold as world class and I have no idea what you class as world class.... This is an interesting one and something I wanted to mention. Zlatan is often referred to in this vain, as one of the best in the world. I wander on what credentials this is based on. playing devils advocate what makes Zlatan one of the best? I would argue that he has never done it in a truly top league, Italy not being a top league for some years now and when he was at Juve before everything fell to sh*t over there he only scored 23 goals in 70 appearances. It's an OK return but not one that you would refer to as world class (playing for the league winners) I would argue that Remy's 14 for newcastle last season is a more impressive return. After that he had a blast at inter, but the league was shot. It didn't really work out for him in spain, it's pretty obvious that has a lot to do with pep and messi. Yes his goal scoring record in France is amazing... but it's not really a competitive league in any way. So what is it that makes Zlatan such a world class striker - Player of immense ability yes, but we have seen other very talented players who we wouldn't refer to as world class For me people are all to quickly to throw the title at him and I think in part it's because of his marketability. September 16, 201411 yr 100% agree barak, if he wasn't such a big character he wouldn't be talked about as world class in my opinion.
September 16, 201411 yr Author Ibra is definitely overated but he's still very good Edited September 16, 201411 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
September 16, 201411 yr Can't agree with that, some of the goals he scores couldn't be stopped regardless of the quality of the opposition, one of the few players with both the technique and audacity to be able to single handedly win games.
November 26, 201411 yr He's been injured. Drogba's done fairly well and you can't argue with his impact last night, but Remy will get chances over the next month.
November 27, 201411 yr He will get his start in the Carling Cup. He had an unfortunate series of events so far, and I completely understood why Drogba came on in the last 2 games to close off the game.
November 27, 201411 yr Bale is certainly world class. I haven't seen enough of Reus to make judgement.
November 27, 201411 yr I did find it odd that he wasnt even on the bench for the CL game this week. Maybe he will start at Sunderland.
November 27, 201411 yr Bale is certainly world class.I haven't seen enough of Reus to make judgement. Bale is level with Reus. When Reus is healthy he is a top 5 winger. No doubt about that. For me, Bale goes missing too often, while Reus is a constant threat.
December 23, 201411 yr He didnt even make the bench yesterday. I feel abit sorry for him. I dont think he will be with us next season.

December 23, 201411 yr He didnt even make the bench yesterday. I feel abit sorry for him. I dont think he will be with us next season. Its a shame because i like Remy a lot. He would of scored one of those Costa chances last night.
December 26, 201411 yr I don't know what's happened to Remy. I thought he looked like a terrific signing when he first started playing but the injury he sustained in the Champions League has really hurt him because Drogba has exceeded most people's expectations and Costa will definitely be the number one choice for the club even though he's not scoring as much as he was earlier in the season. I hope Remy doesn't get the flick at the end of the season but with a lack of game time and his inability to break his way into the side, I don't see how he could stay. The only upside for him is that Drogba may retire and so therefore Jose can't afford to sell him then.
December 26, 201411 yr He'll get his chances second part of the season. Excellent 2nd/3rd choice. He'd be 1st choice in Liverpool where he was heading.
December 26, 201411 yr I'm pretty sure he will get some minutes today. Sadly he has been left out again. Everytime he has played for us he is a threat, i can't believe he isn't getting any game time right now. I love Drogba, but come on, he is a 36 year old coming to the end of his career. Remy should be atleast be getting equal game time.
December 26, 201411 yr is he injured? 2 matches in a row that he's failed to make even the bench He's been out with an unknown injury since October.
