November 28, 201411 yr I like the trailer a lot. The whole thing is good but the X-wings skimming over the lake and that end clip in the forest are very cool.
November 28, 201411 yr You know there is a Jedi Knight among us on this messageboard? Master PloKoon13
November 28, 201411 yr Looking forward to this. I think it'll be good despite being underwhelmed by that trailer. The deep voice makes it sound like its just made by a fanboy kid with a voice changing app. Love the Star Wars music so much.
November 28, 201411 yr Looks very different to the prequel trilogy already, which can only be a good thing. Looks like it might be quite a bit darker than the previous films unless the trailer is misleading.
November 29, 201411 yr Hope, rather than expect, some life can be breathed into a tired franchise...the originals will always be the best
November 29, 201411 yr Love Star Wars, never been a fan of trailors though and this teaser did nothing for me. I hate that Lightsaber, it looks stupid and gimmicky.
November 29, 201411 yr Darth Vader ?@DarthVadersBack If your parents showed you Twilight instead of Star Wars, you weren't raised right. You have to agree w/ Vader - btw I am turning towards the Dark Side - Sith practicioners can have lightening come out of their fingers & I like the sound of that Edited November 29, 201411 yr by robdog
November 29, 201411 yr Where does this new film stand in time? Is it even before the prequel trilogy? I read somewhere that Harrison Ford is in it, that would assume an old Han Solo. Or a ghost, like Obi Wan Kenobi And how do you even spell prequel? Questions, questions... Edited November 29, 201411 yr by Valerie
November 29, 201411 yr Author This new film will take place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (Episode 6), so Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie are all very much alive, but obviously a lot older. So it will be interesting to see what they do with these characters.
November 29, 201411 yr You know there is a Jedi Knight among us on this messageboard? Master PloKoon13 Haha indeed - did you know Plo Koon was trained by a grumpy Wookiee Jedi? Also what is the deal with these new lightsabers? Almost lost a hand the other day... Robdog - do not turn to the dark side; once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.
November 29, 201411 yr After the last 3 sacks of sh*t I said I would not get even slightly excited by the new ones........ I was wrong, that looks bloody great.
November 29, 201411 yr Dicky, that post could have been from me, sums up my feelings on the films perfectly - god I'm excited to see more of the new one.
November 30, 201411 yr Nah ... Don't care how good it is I am still hurting from the fantom menace They lost me then
November 30, 201411 yr Nah ... Don't care how good it is I am still hurting from the fantom menace They lost me then That was sh*t to be fair. The second was only a bit better but the third was pretty decent (without reaching the heights of the originals). I hope they get the casting right in the new films.
November 30, 201411 yr I loved going to see the original Star Wars films with my three little boys! But I don't think I'd bother now!
November 30, 201411 yr I loved going to see the original Star Wars films with my three little boys! But I don't think I'd bother now! You've reminded me of my moment of shame: my Mum had to take me home (when I was 6, back in '77) because I was too scared to see the film. I lasted until he (Darth Vader) boarded the rebel transport - 5 mins? The shame...
November 30, 201411 yr I actually prefer the prequels to the originals, just because I saw them first. Having said that, I can see why people dislike them. The actor of Anakin in the second and third is awful. I just love the fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan at the end of the 3rd (6th).

I lasted until he (Darth Vader) boarded the rebel transport - 5 mins? The shame... Oh Spuddy! When my youngest son was eight, I found him watching Starsky and Hutch. I said "I don;t think you should be watching this." He looked at me pityingly and said "It's not real, you know, Mum!"
