I like the trailer a lot. The whole thing is good but the X-wings skimming over the lake and that end clip in the forest are very cool.

If any director can successfully resurrect the series its JJ.

Looking forward to this. I think it'll be good despite being underwhelmed by that trailer. The deep voice makes it sound like its just made by a fanboy kid with a voice changing app.

 

Love the Star Wars music so much.

Looks very different to the prequel trilogy already, which can only be a good thing.

Looks like it might be quite a bit darker than the previous films unless the trailer is misleading.

Hope, rather than expect, some life can be breathed into a tired franchise...the originals will always be the best

Love Star Wars, never been a fan of trailors though and this teaser did nothing for me. I hate that Lightsaber, it looks stupid and gimmicky.

You have to agree w/ Vader - btw I am turning towards the Dark Side - Sith practicioners can have lightening come out of their fingers & I like the sound of that

Definitely a good teaser trailer. I'm looking forward to the movie.

Where does this new film stand in time? Is it even before the prequel trilogy? I read somewhere that Harrison Ford is in it, that would assume an old Han Solo. Or a ghost, like Obi Wan Kenobi 

 

And how do you even spell prequel? Questions, questions...

This new film will take place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (Episode 6), so Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie are all very much alive, but obviously a lot older.

 

 

 

So it will be interesting to see what they do with these characters.

Stars Wars is OK I suppose. I like the bit with the light sabres.

Trailer already looks better than the last three films...

That was sh*t to be fair. The second was only a bit better but the third was pretty decent (without reaching the heights of the originals). I hope they get the casting right in the new films.

You've reminded me of my moment of shame: my Mum had to take me home (when I was 6, back in '77) because I was too scared to see the film. I lasted until he (Darth Vader) boarded the rebel transport - 5 mins? The shame...

I actually prefer the prequels to the originals, just because I saw them first. Having said that, I can see why people dislike them. The actor of Anakin in the second and third is awful. I just love the fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan at the end of the 3rd (6th).

Oh Spuddy!  When my youngest son was eight, I found him watching Starsky and Hutch. I said "I don;t think you should be watching this."  He looked at me pityingly and said "It's not real, you know, Mum!"
