May 24, 201610 yr I think rotation will take care of this. With the PL, EL and the cups, there's plenty of games for both, with Martial as backup if they're unavailable. It is obvious that an 18-year old Rashford, in his second season for the club, can't be the main man up front. And it should be obvious to everyone not named Louis Van Gaal that Rooney is simply not good enough to be the number 9 for Manchester United anymore. We need a new world class dependable striker, one who can do a job for us in the short term, can be rotated with Rashford for rest, and teach him the ropes so that he can take over after a season or two. As great as Rashford's debut season might be - he might simply drop off form, or fall to mediocrity, or flatter to deceive. Jose will not and should not take chances. Zlatan is the perfect hig profile signing - if reports of him inking a 1+1 year deal are indeed true. I'm more excited about Zlatan than Jose, tbf. :D Mourinho doesn't really rotate well to be honest, he tends to stick with the same 11 in every competition. He makes the odd change here and there but i would be surprised if he rotates often.

Jose has his favourites, and likes to get the most out of a select few.

May 25, 201610 yr Unai Emery rules himself out of Everton job. As predicted why would he leave Europa League holders Sevilla who are in the CL for Everton. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/unai-emery-rules-himself-out-11382279.amp?client=safari#
May 25, 201610 yr Everton are in grave danger of being left well behind if they don't get someone decent in.
May 25, 201610 yr Good luck finding someone to come in and compete with the 5 or 6 top managers already here.
May 25, 201610 yr Author Everton are in grave danger of being left well behind if they don't get someone decent in. For whatever reason, De Boer seems quite keen , I'll reckon he's going to get the job. Speaking of managerial appointments. No one wanted the fatty fraudster Better-Eat-Less, I mean Benitez, so he's staying at Newcastle... In the Championship, one year after taking the Madrid job. LOL.

To be fair, I think Everton would do well to get him. Guy can punch above his weight (no pun intended :))

Somewhere there is a Geordie internet forum full of Liverpool fans telling them what a great job Benitez is doing, even as he took them down...
May 25, 201610 yr Arsenal set to complete the 30 million pound signing for BMG midfielder Xhaka I know the transfer window isn't even open yet, but this may show intent if Arsenal are going to spend big early.
May 25, 201610 yr Will it? Or will this be the one signing and then they'll be linked randomly the rest of the summer (Benzema anyone) I'm pretty sure Wenger's said before he doesn't like buying after tournaments because the prices are "inflated"

May 26, 201610 yr I only know Xhatka from FM, he's an central attacking midfielder, isn't he? I thought Wenger already has a few of them. I'm sure he has quality, but he's not the defensive midfielder they were looking for. I think Wenger's shopping spree will be short and sweet again, he wouldn't want bet big to sign the players he really wanted.

I think Wenger's shopping spree will be short and sweet again, he wouldn't want bet big to sign the players he really wanted. I think he's a fairly attack minded box to box midfielder, if Arsenal are playing 4-2-3-1 then him and Coquelin in the pivot should, in theory be very solid. I don't think Arsenal are too far away in terms of talent. Xhaka has also been mochengladnachs captain on occasion as well so could possibly sort some of their temperament issues. They're still a striker and centre back short of challenging in my opinion and their injury issues would have to be solved as they don't really have cover for Coquelin. They're steadily improving year on year, see Cech last year, but to this point have never truly gone for the jugular. That may be stopping this year with some of the links but I'm not buying it, I remember when Higuian was spotted on the tube when he was about to leave Madrid but that never happened.
May 26, 201610 yr arsenal definitely showing more intent this transfer window. they signed xhaka, want morata, and they are looking at other options too.

May 26, 201610 yr I dunno to me it looks like Arsenal have tried to plug a gap that's already been plugged. As for been linked with Moratta they're always linked with players doesn't mean they will sign him. They never seem to buy the players they actually need. Edited May 26, 201610 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
May 26, 201610 yr Xhaka is a good signing for them. He will add steel to the midfield. I think they are just a top striker away from being serious contenders.
