haha, no not just to hate on Pedro. The sentiment behind my post was really a frustration that younger players with higher potential (in my opinion) than Pedro will see game time blocked because of him. 

I would really like to see him play good but he tries everything not to do so. Hope he finds some form.

I think he was decent today, he made some mistakes but overall it this he looked better today than in other matches he played for us.

You can't blame him for his effort. Yet I feel that he is one of those players where less commitment would have a more positive effect.

I like his attitude because he is showing that he really wants to put Chelsea ahead and get the team going. At the same time it impedes him because he more often than not ends up in a difficult, complicated situation where eventually he loses the ball. A little bit of simple passing a la Mikel would improve his game. 

Pedro has the habit of always looking lively without ever looking much of a threat. Suffice to say that up to now, it has been another transfer that hasn't worked out.

 

When you are trying to change a game you really want to see a sub coming on who could make an impact. When I see Pedro warming up I get the "same old, same old" feeling - it's just too predictable. Would much rather we unleash Traore or Kenedy (when fit). Not just because they are young, but they have that unpredictability.

Hello. Sorry if I do not speak good English. I am a fan of Barca and Chelsea. I saw Pedro play many matches. He is a bad player. When he was 21 years no one knew him, he never went to the youth national teams, but he was lucky because Guardiola was his coach in the Barcelona B and then ascended through it. He has no vision,no precision of pass and he is not very intelligent with offensive moves and he only plays football backward. 23 goals is the best record of Pedro, but he played in the best Barcelona of history, with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta ... Its performance is bad in 80% of the matches, but he is a friend of Del Bosque and he plays with the spanish national football team because of him and because the spanish journalists also protect him, but there are many players better than him in Spain.

He can get some goals, but he only knows to run to defend, don´t expect much from him. I do not understand how Mourinho signed him, although when he was in the Real Madrid he plays with Arbeloa or Khedira and even he signed Altintop xD

He didn't just abuse his pace and try to do things before he even had the ball, he had more control, he runs into the box and his shooting was great rather than skying it into the stands from outside the box.

Also his pace was very useful for closing down and pressuring players, we could've let Newcastle back in the game but that kind of workrate and desire made sure they didn't.

 

Now I want to see continue to him play this way in future games.

Think he'd benefit from some game time there with Hazard moving into the central role.

bloody good finisher ain't he? he seems to bury those one on ones - almost identical to some of his 1 on 1 goals for barcelona.

He had a good game but I'm not sold on him yet. Hate to be the negative one on here but I seem to remember he missed a one on one as well.

Exactly, it's funny how people forget this simple fact.

Could have been 4 goals to Pedro yesterday. He dodged Costa's goal and was clean through once.

He's quick but i think DB once refered to him as the Spanish Aaron Lennon and some times it doesn't look far off

Nah, he's much better than Aaron Lennon, confidence is all he needs and he had that in abundance today.

we have to remember he has been playing for a barcelona side that has shown the most free flowing attacking football that most of us are likely to ever see.he has been there since he was 17 , so you surely you can understand how difficult an adjustment it has been for him when has been thrown into a team that this season hasnt shown many attacking qualities. its no coincidence that when we put the foot down last night pedro stepped up to the plate.he certainly didnt look like a player who was struggling for form anyways.

Last few games he is really starting to impress me and show his quality.

Was really unlucky to not score yesterday and his energy and drive made him a constant threat.

Hopefully this is the Pedro we see more often than not.
