Tammy Abraham

Nobody talks about this player.
It is time for someone to have to say that he is not a player for Chelsea.

There was no positive action throughout the game, he seems to be a good guy and teammate, but he just doesn't have any quality to wear this jersey.

If we want to win games and competitions we can't have Tammy on the squad.
He had many more opportunities than he deserved.
It doesn't work, it doesn't work, it's time to admit it and sell him to a club of his level.

Calm yourself Iago.

He is fine, hasn't had two great games but as any young striker will he will have some dips. He has good competition now coming in and will continue to have to lift his level. Particularly back to goal.

Will Abraham be one of those strikers that starts well and then tails off and never recovers? I hope not, but early signs aren't looking good for him.

I never rated him much at all at the start of the season, so whatever happens between now and the end of the season, he has exceeded my expectations, but I don't see him ever being a regular first choice player for us again now that Werner is on the way.

Without great service he can be useless on the pitch, he is always one of the tallest on the pitch but doesn't play the target man well. Also doesn't always drop back to get involved in the build up and doesn't have the character of a Costa/Drogba to be a bulldozer. He's still young and can be improved and can obviously score goals but I can only see him as second fiddle next season.

I think it's fair to say he has a lot to learn, but time is on his side, I wouldn't be so eager to write him off just yet.

He wasn't exactly getting the best service today, but even then you need to make your chances and when you get the ball, at least offer something. He was awful whenever the ball came to him, kept falling over more times than Morata.

I will reserve my judgement on Tammy till next season i don't think Werner will play up top i think he will play wide left. West Ham played very defensive  tonight and we created nothing for him. With the new attacking players coming in next season we will see if hes up to the job.

If the players around you aren't creating much, then force something yourself. There were plenty of times where the ball would just bounce off him tonight, and if you can't do much up front, then help the team in other ways rather than disappear.

I hope Werner isn't played on the left next season. Werner taking Pulisic's spot would be a waste. Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech have the potential to be an amazing front 3.

He isn't Drogba or Costa he's a different type of player. I agree he doesn't do enough at times but when given chances he takes them.

I cant see Werner playing up top in the premier league, it's a much more physical league and he's played wide left most of the season.

You is not the striker to lead you to a title yet, will he end up being that guy maybe, is he never in the box for tap ins or crosses always on his heals.

You have two of the most offensively talented players on the team and you want to put one on the bench? I don't get it.

That is your starting front 3 next season. 110%

You don't need a traditional target forward to succeed in today's game.

Defensive uncertainty started with him and spread through the team. And sadly he offered nothing up front.

Wrong choice today as it turned out. Frank has an issue with this squad against garbage teams.

Please tell me this is a sh*tpost...

Not Chelsea standard.  I actually think he's lost all his confidence also - he's stopped taking up goal scoring positions, which tends to happen with bad service.  But he tries to look busy and cool, but reality is he doesn't really offer much at all.  I'd keep him for a squad option next year, but he's a mid to lower level PL striker at the moment.  He may develop, but its hard to cure a striker who when he has time messes up - that's instinct from a young age.

Not doing anything to prove he deserves the fat new contract he wants. He's been below par for a long time by now.

Giroud should be well ahead of him in the pecking order and Werner likewise.

He is so clumsy. Everytime the ball gets to him he is Bambi on ice,  nearly falling over, barely getting it under control.

Further there were at least two times a cross came and a simple tap in was required. At the beginning of the season he ran, pressed like a madman but now he is strolling around making bad runs too.

come on @coco, we have to have a scapegoat, a player to moan about and blame, and Morata is gone, Jorginho wasn't playing and Mikel has retired or whatever.

We have plenty of viable scapegoats mate, namely the two center backs that form our worst defence in over 25 years. What is pathetic is the assumption that Tammy is blackmailing the club for a new contract by not attempting to get into the 6yd box. Even a pre-school kid could see their is no logic to that.
