So Mikel just pretty much confirmed that Hiddink hasn't actually changed anything? Seems a bit strange seen as that's what got the last manager sacked.

Hopefully the players turn up today, another performance like against United and we'll get beat.

Mikel and Cesc are far too static and lack pace to provide a sufficient shield to our back line.

Having said that Mikel is definitely an upgrade on the imposter posing as Matic recently. Wouldnt have minded Ramires next to Mikel taking into account the pace Palace have on the counter.

At least Matic has been dropped, and is now on the bench. RLC and Traore are the youngsters on the bench. One of them getting 10 minutes tops probably.

I hope we will end up with a Mikel-Loftus Cheek midfield, perhaps second half. I'm very happy Matic has been dropped. He's been abysmal all season and slows the play down so much.

A bit of a waste of time now getting up in the mornings anticipating changes and seeing the same old drivel.....think I'll switch over to the cricket if this starts going sideways.  What was the point of sacking Jose?

Tough game these days going to Palace.

Guus clearly going for a point, even though he set the team a target of the top 4.

We need to win these games if that's the coaches ambition.

I'm a bit concerned about this, Palace haven't lost in six, a period during which they have conceded three goals.

 

Looks like Palace have gone with Frazier Campbell; we are fortunate that they're missing the likes of Bolasie, Sako, Cabaye and Wickham, but I was hoping they would start with Chamakh, a player easier to render less dangerous by pushing him higher up the pitch. In addition Jedinak is a very capable ball-winner (and arguably Palace's best player last season); Oscar is going to have a very difficult game on his hands.

 

Judging by our midfield we are looking to dominate possession, but there is very little pace in there and we are going to have to play very intelligently to avoid playing into Palace's hands. I might have opted for Mikel and Matic in the middle, with Rahman and Azpilicueta at full-back in order to better cope with their famous pace on the flanks.

 

I am not especially optimistic about this, but if we are at our best we should win.

Don't think we will win this i was looking for a change especially with ivo at right back nothing this will not end in victory and I won't put myself through the pain of watching again

With Palace missing a number of key players, no excuses today - we should be winning this.

 

We need players to rediscover form and cause Palace problems - looking for massive performances from Hazard, Costa, Willian, Oscar and Fabregas. Let then worry about US, not the other way round.
