Did the same again last night. Stayed down to try and win a free kick then straight back on his feet when the ball is out of play. Too weak to be a centre half, would much rather have had Tomori stay.

I'm a bit confused, I saw him trying to header the ball away from an attacker whilst on the ground, and getting kicked in the head for his troubles, and then having to be substituted because of concussion rules I assume. There's no winning with some people

I think Christensen played well again last night. After Silva, he is clearly the most comfortable CB with ball at his feet. I get some of the criticism and he could do with "toughening up" but I'm certainly a lot less nervous when he receives a ball in tight space and is getting closed down than I am with either Rudiger or Zouma.

I found it interesting last night that Tuchel preferred him to be RCB instead of the central role he occupied against Sheffield. For me he is more comfortable in the free role than Zouma who he had centrally.

So if he went of injured with a head knock was the concussion sub not a thing last night?

I assume he put Zouma there cause it gives him better passing options which suit his limited ability on the ball.

Tuchel comfirmed it today, he was not subbed because of concussion or anything.

Oh right, so tactical, not even an injury.

He was suffering from a headache apparently... Probably from, y'know, getting kicked in the head.

Surely that was just a coincidence......

The lackadaisical attitude towards head injuries in football is sickening.

Was hooked at half time, so not concussion or it would’ve been instant.

Obviously related to the kick in the head and sensible to take him off at HT and risk Rudi for second half. Thankfully didn't cost us!!

Yeah I’m really not a fan of him but I don’t think you can criticise him for that. He actually got a pretty heavy whack to the head.

I seem to remember the commentators saying he tried to get up and get back but was very unsteady on his feet. He might have even fallen back over.

But yeah, nothing wrong with him.

Not necessarily,  that West ham player was subbed at half time due to concussion he got about 20 minutes.

Frankly their needs to be a lot more done in football.  A 10 minute sub while the injured player goes through a proper check,  not just how many fingers am I holding up sh*te.

Stones' resurgence this season is why i still hold some hope for Christensen (those two are similar type of players).

Playing with Ruben Dias has made all the difference for the former so wouldn't mind seeing AC get a run of games with Thiago and then the new CB if we get one next year.

If there’s any indication of concussion the player needs to be taken from the field there and then. Looks bad on the club and league in general if the player plays on then gets hooked at half time. Like you say, 10 minute subs for inspection would be worthwhile.

I think its clear that's what happened. Christensen has generally played very well recently, so there's no way he was hooked. He was on the floor and say what you will about him, showed immense bravery to be fair to try and stop the attacker getting it by shoving his head in the way, and got kicked. You could see how unsteady he looked when he got up for a good minute or two, he looked out of it. Now you don't need to be a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together, that a few minutes later he's being substituted at half time for a "headache". They probably saw he was still groggy and thought no point risking it. I mean he could of had a headache too as a result of it, but I just think it protects the club to say it wasn't concussion related, and that's why we didn't pull him there and then when it first happened.

Either way, he's an academy lad, he's playing well, and hopefully he can start fulfilling his potential now, and we can all hopefully get behind him now.

He was super slick this game, was very much like Thiago Silva, he's done a good job covering for him.

He plays against Saints we win that one, he has indeed covered well for Silva, whereas Zouma does not have the vision or concentration to cover that spot for him.

Good job today Andreas.

Christensen at his best is an absolute World Class CB, his ability has not ever been in question but his consistency especially against more physical teams certainly has.

Hopefully he can build on this performance and give us more of the same in the next few games.
