December 8, 20214 yr Looked more assured in the 2nd half, but still was easily out muscled by their striker at the end just before their goal. Out of Christensen and Rudiger, it's Rudiger that is still playing like he wants to be here. Out of nowhere, Christensen has slipped straight back into the form we were seeing before Tuchel arrived.
December 8, 20214 yr Awful game, had momemts he couldve done better in all 3 goals. Hopefully we still have Kounde lined up, because azpi, Christiensen and rudiger all look to have one foot out of the door, at least the latter is keeping his standards up though. I wonder how our centre back options will look next season, Thiago Silva, Chalobah, kounde, Colwill? Might even need another one.
December 8, 20214 yr He’s never going to be a world class centre back. He got destroyed by Antonio as always and he can’t handle abit of physicality. Don’t get me wrong he’s a nice player, easy on the eye, but I think if anyone comes in with a big offer I’d sell him.

December 8, 20214 yr He's the ultimate system player. In a well-drilled side who leave no space he can be close to flawless. When having to hustle by himself he's f**king hopeless. I assume posting a picture of an actual vagina is against forum rules, so I'll have to settle for this. He's a

He doesn't look like he wants to be here anymore. Rudiger is in the same position, but he at least looks like he is still trying. Is Rudiger actually trying? Did you see what he did with West Ham’s 2nd goal?

December 9, 20214 yr At present we have four members of the back line all of whom could sign pre contracts in under a month for new clubs, this can’t be beneficial to the overall team ethic. Players knowing contract offers are dependent on keeping fit simply won’t put their bodies on the line the same. This situation needs bringing to an urgent conclusion, it is unfair on a coach who has done wonders in his short time here. Athletes can’t play at 90% and get the same results.
December 9, 20214 yr More disappointed in him than Toni, far more so. Given Toni has been with us for 4 and a half years and spent a decent amount of that out of the first team, seen as a back up and looking to sell him last January, I get him wanting the best deal at 29 while his stock is high. AC though has been with us for around 10 years. We supported his development, had chance under several managers and now when he is finally settled in the side and supposedly loves the club and wants to stay he has changed the terms he wants no fewer than 3 times, each time we have made those changes and he still has not signed. If you want to leave don't bullsh*t us, just be honest about it and say you want to go for whatever reason or at least don't say you love the club, want to stay and then not sign a deal you verbally asked for.
December 9, 20214 yr I would say we want to keep one of Toni or Andreas. Toni looks the more stable and then would suggest we go for Kounde and have back ups with Silva, Chalobah though maybe not Azpi. I personally don't think we can let both go and also if Azpi goes we need back up for RWB as don't think CHO will want to play there often and James may be needed as the 3rd CB at times.
December 10, 20214 yr after that performance against wetham and zenit - pretty sure he will sign a new deal. Doubt any top class team will triple his salary. Got bullied Antonio and showed little or no defensive awareness against Zenit.

Honestly if what is reported is true, this is just bizzare. I always want player to get as much as possible but if you negotiate some kind of term, both parties agrees with it and you then change the term again, that is just a very bad business etique.

I have gone from hoping he signs and stays to wanting him to go and am hoping the club will back TT with 2 new defenders in January.
December 10, 20214 yr Tuchel dropped him after the international break to teach him a lesson or whatever. Chalobah gets injured and he's back to needing AC again. Sorry but TT needs to take some blame here. His political move over AC's contract looks like it's blown up in his face.

It started that way, then Trev went on to show he is better suited for the league and this side and kep AC out on merit. Mistake was bringing AC back rather than Dave imo.
December 10, 20214 yr Not signing a new contract, wants more money. So much for the academy players loving the club.

At least Toni stayed firm on his demands and did not shift the goal posts. Credit to him he looms set to get a huge deal at Real or PSG so good luck to him. AC should be put in the reserves. Promote a youth player in his place.

Tammy wouldnt sign a new deal, wanted to join our rivals Arsenal, but he loves the club. Now we got Christensen doing it, but the academy boys love the club apparently.

Terry and Lampard manipulated the fans at their most vulnerable to pressure the club into giving them new deals. Players (even one's that love the club) will do what's best for their career first and foremost and we have to accept that.

Its just our alot of our fanbase praise academy players etc like they all love the club. Make players like Rudiger, Alonso come across like they are only here for the money, don care about the club etc. Academy players are no better.

It doesn't have to be one or the other, we love Ivanovic but most of us spent the last two years of his time here begging the managers to stop playing him. What we see with the likes of Christensen is the reverse of it.

But supposedly even after signing the new contract he would still be one of the lowest paid players in the starting XI. He was offered 5 years on those terms meaning Chelsea wouldn't be likely to give him a new contract offer for at least the next 3 years so going into his peak years he's one of the lowest valued players in the team? You can love your job and where you do it but you would still want to feel valued by your employer.

I thought the new contract was a big pay rise and equal to other players. It's been reported though that he has agreed terms twice and all he has to do is sign but now has backed out again.
