October 21, 20178 yr Some of you need to take off the rose tinted glasses when it comes to Conte, or perhaps more apt is take off the "i hate the board" tinted glasses. I posted a good while ago that he will be off at the end of the season no matter what, his contract "renewal" told us that if you ask me. He is not committed. Yes he is good at talking as if he plans long-term but actions speak louder. Secondly, and again, this is not because of results, I stated my annoyance with his whinging before the season even started and especially in the closing weeks of the transfer window. No-one cares about injuries, nobody is interested in excuses. Everybody knows who is and isn't injured so get on with doing your job as HEAD COACH and coach the players available to you to the best of your ability. It would not surprise me if the players have gotten wind of the fact he has no intentions to be around beyond this season anyway and that is somewhat behind the drop in levels and sporadic showing of petulance towards him. Some of you are crying out for loyalty to a man who i'm afraid, no different to most other modern coaches, is showing loyalty to nobody but himself. I respect and admire the man as a coach but i'm not gullible enough to think he is flawless or that he is doing anything other than passing through.

We should have stood by Mourinho when players weren't performing for him, we didn't we just let it drag out until it got really bad. I hope the same doesn't happen here, I've seen it too much with Chelsea over the past 10 years, our players underperforming for the manager then suddenly become world class when new one steps in the same season. The situation is completely different with Conte, because the players are at back him and they sustain him. It's just a bad period who ganna not last.

October 21, 20178 yr 20 mins left, it's 2-2 and can end up being any of the 3 results. Dont want people to think it's knee jerk because of a defeat or a draw, so posting it right now. anotjer pathetic performance from conte. Another game with cesc in mid and we get over run, another game with luiz and gc at the back, and it looks like we can't defend if our lives depended on it. All in all, absolutely sh*t from conte AGAIN. the sack is coming, I can feel it. We are playing as bad as we did in 2015-16.

Carlo's still on good terms with Chelsea. Gets director's box seats too when he comes visiting. I'm sure he has no ill will towards the club. He's a gentleman.

October 21, 20178 yr made good tactical changes tbf. batshuyai changed the game (who woulda thought!) and moving azpi over the lwb helped us combat watford's pace which was causing alonso issues.

But does not excuse any of his week in week out sh*t decisions. cesc in a 2 man mid does not work, luiz - Cahill in defence does not work. For 70 minutes, we looked a notch or 2 below Watford. we might have got the win, but it's nothing but paper over the cracks. We are getting found out by almost every team we play, we are leaking goals like hell, and for majority of the game, look toothless in attack. Also a laughing emoji is hardly the apt reply.

I am sorry, do we have any option other than Cesc and Baka? Luiz in the mid. Play a youth player because playing cesc guarantees the opposition with lots of chances to counter and completely over running the mid, add a combo of luiz and gc in defence and we have the current mess that we are in where we are looking almost as bad as pool. And that's saying something.
October 21, 20178 yr I am glad he switched to a 4-4-2 when he knew things wern't working. I felt like we started playing better after the switch - like we had more possession (We still need more squad strengthening). What do you smart folks reckon ?

Christensen has to be brought in for Cahill though I would rather that be bought by hazard/morata/Pedro/Willian or cesc if he is played as a forward. Cesc as a mid and us looking absolutely poor defensively has a massive link.
October 21, 20178 yr He changed the formation and it worked wonders, just what we needed. Now he needs to make changes to the formation before games begin. Last season's tactics look dead now, it's time for something new. If we go into games starting with the same tactics, then we will see the same struggles.

One thing about this game is that Watford as great as they are this season do not have the personals to punish us (missed sitters) or hold on to possession and waste time. Better teams do - and they can absolutely punish us. I really wish we get Kante and Drink water back. I would love to see Kante + Drinkwater and Bakayoko a bit forward. That is a very solid and physical midfield and Bakayokos instinct of running forward will be better suited to that setting.
