The biggest difference between ourselves and the teams above us, is the lack of cohesion between board and manager. 

I just hope that we as club all start to sing from the same hymn sheet. Conte has underperformed this season no doubt, but you can't be telling your best players that you want the club to challenge for biggest trophies, but then not back it up in the transfer market. 

So we either make a statement in the transfer market, or we sell our best player and sign players that can be potentially as good, or better. 

Either way we need a manager that is happy to work under which ever conditions we put in place. 

This season has turned into a real sh*t show. I'm actually looking forward to it ending.

He change tactics and change formation from 3-5-2 to 3-4-3.
Rotate a lot of the players, from Cahill to Christensen to Rudiger, to Fabregas, to Bakayoko, to Pedro and Willy.

He is far from perfect, but our team right now is average. If you look form, age, injuries and so on, on our squad.

Also as i said many times, from the summer, he is not at 100%, he is not giving hes best. And the board is to blame for that.

No one would be at 100%, after that sh*** our board did to him.

This is my main issue.
I have zero problem changing Conte. But Marina need to go too.

This is the same thing that happen, in 2 years time with different manager. Top class manager. So it`s not the board manager, unless you wear some kind of pink glasses ....

Let me continue, why Marina decide to sell Salah ? What a idiotic deal she did with Roma? He did good season on loan at Fiorentina, and she put him on a loan to Roma, for 5mlnd and clause option so they can buy him for 15m....

Hes contract with us was till 2019. This is not idiotic, this is superb idiotic deal. She should have send him to loan or sell him with buyback clause. The same thing goes for Lukaku and De Bruyne.

I said it again, no problem Conte goes in the summer, but he should not be the only one. We need big change in our policy, that is for sure. The board need to go too.

 

I would be shocked to find someone who would rather have Cahill in the middle of a back 3 over Christensen, Cahill is a mistake waiting to happen in most games and that's on the left. Christensen has made some recent mistakes, that's life of a footballer, before that be was very good. It's Conte's fault why he fell out with Luiz, plus is a back 3 really Christensens best position?, I would prefer to see him in a back 4, something Conte would dare not even think about let alone play.

A few critiques of the defence on here recently ... last year's three at the back was Azpiliceuta, Luiz and Cahill .... Conte's decision to bench two of them this season and take out a huge amount of leadership and experience ... Cahill has his critics, but of our last six games (won 2 lost 4) guess which two he has played in ... right .... the two wins ... !

Personally I think we have missed David Luiz the most.

Sorry, but Christensen is being poor. He destroy us in every single big/important match we play this season. And no the system is not his problem. You will see in the next season, he will make the same s*** mistake again. He was doing the same thing in his previous club.

There's too much wrong in your post and I'll be going backwards and forwards for days but how can you compare Christensen against other Chelsea defenders when he wasn't even involved before this season. We can all obviously critise this season but last season the defence was quality and there was other reasons for that. Christensen wasn't even playing for a top German team.

It would be like me comparing Rudiger to Carvalho in his first season and conceding just 15 goals.

Bloody stats do my head in. Christensen has done well this year, been poor of late but then most the squad have, no star performers really. Watching Chelsea it's pretty clear Cahill gets away with a lot of mistakes.

I'm afraid it's really bad. We'll miss out on top four and rightly so, and it's all on the manager. Maybe the board could have helped him more, no doubt about it, but we should be finishing top four, but we have no spirit, I've said it time and time again, we never come back when we go behind, our heads drop, we have no leadership, must-win games and we don't even go down fighting, we just meekly surrender, Tottenham put in loads of tackles today, we didn't, and we needed the win more than them, we're just so brittle, the manager has sapped our spirit, his demeanour has been poor all season, he sulks, no wonder we're f**king sh*t, we're an embarrassment, we have no fight, no desire, no pride. Luiz has been cut adrift and we really miss him. We're a team with no personality. The manager has spent the whole season blaming others. Well I know who I blame. It was mentioned by Martin Tyler during the game today. The interview never took place because Conte said he “couldn’t be honest” but that Chelsea are having the season they deserve” - implying about not backing him with transfers.

Definitely agree with that. We are a team with any personality. I was thinking that today, we needed a player like Luiz - someone who plays with heart.

Those 4 games you are on about we lost without him in the team were against Spuds Barca Man c Man u. 

But he started and captained our worst two defeats this season, Watford away 4-1 and Bournemouth home 0-3.

this is a great article.

we've had a fantastic 20 year period - obviously the most successful in the club's history, but is there a plan for the next 3 seasons or the next 5? As well as a landmark stadium, we have to have to team that is competitive with the best in England and Europe, otherwise building the stadium is just folly

We were 3rd in January, 1 point behind Utd, 2 points ahead of Liverpool and 6 points ahead of Spurs. A 4-2-3-1, a 4-3-3? His whole obsession  with 3 at the back is what is crippling us. When your wingbacks who are meant to be the creative outlet in this formation can’t be trusted to consistently put in decent balls into the box, maybe it’s time to try something else.  Switch Azpi to RB, take off Moses & stick an extra man in midfield.

I agree with that. Absolutely. Boards rubbish transfer windows took away our ability to compete for the title. Conte however blew up because of that and he has cost us a bunch of cash both in terms of no cl next season and his overpaid contract.

Gardening leave for failure to do his job to a good standard. Reassess in the summer.
