July 6, 201610 yr Certainly got that le chiffre vibe going on, personally im the most excited about a new manager since mourinho first time round, he actually ticks a lot of boxes for me personally and feels like he is the right man for the job at the right time if that makes sense, if we back him in the market and allow him time to imprint his philosophy on our club im sure he will be a hit, as basic as it sounds saying this but italians and chelsea mix very very well, if he can get us playing like we did in the late 90s then I for one will be very happy as we will have our chelsea back, if he brings in trophies on top of that on a regular basis then build him a statue out the front of the new stadium as far as im concerned as that is the pinnacle of what you could ask for from him.
July 6, 201610 yr In terms of his persona I love that there are no signs him giving interviews where his team was better and lost, or it all was up to the ref or other conspiracy talk...
July 6, 201610 yr Letting myself get excited about Conte but to manage expectations, two things: 1 we still haven't overhauled the squad and as JoseBlues says, we need some midfield signings to finally take control of the middle of the pitch again 2 Van Gaal did pretty well with Holland last World Cup, but was unable to translate that to club football and a new league That said, can't wait to see how it goes. Can't wait to forget last season.
July 6, 201610 yr Just because they both went beyond expectation in international tournaments does not mean anything, conte is not van gaal and we are not man utd. Conte is a man on the way up and probably the best manager we have had since ancelotti. He has not even arrived yet and i've already given him 10/10 for enthusiam, hes no miserable albert steptoe either so the players shouldn't feel distanced from him. The club are already making good progress too, its only the first week of july and two dud strikers have gone and a hungry prospect has been brought in. I think we we are going to do surprisingly well next season.
July 7, 201610 yr Sadly we sacked her imagine that, eva sat on his lap while his stroking her hair. in his office she's sat by his desk purring and drinking milk.

July 7, 201610 yr If we don't win anything next year l won't be to fussed as long as conte stamps his mark, makes it clear what he expects and if anyone doesn't like it they can fu. K off. Like Clough used to, proud of the badge, you don't need to be a prima Donna, give it your all, the true fans will appreciate it and if the club gives him the time and backing happy times will come. Beer talk but that's how I feel. Ktbffh.

Beer talk but that's how I feel. Ktbffh. Any reference to Clough is a winner with me. Conte seems to have that self belief and large personality to match Cloughie's too. As we aren't competing at the very top end at the moment, pulling players in with vices isn't a bad idea. Serious suggestion off the cuff but a fit and motivated Balotelli would benefit us. If Conte got him playing that'd be something. As he chose not to select him in the Italy squad, that's unlikely though! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 9, 201610 yr Just watch a Del Piero full of praise about Conte i really hope whatever happens this guy gets all the time he needs we won't get any worse than last season and all true fans have experience the bad now support the manager team and let's stick it to the media and opposition fans. Wipe the smug looks off their faces Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

July 10, 201610 yr When asked about his 424 formation on being unveiled as Juventus manager, Conte had this to say: “There’s been too much talk on this particular way of playing. In actuality it’s a 4-4-2. I know of course novelty makes sometimes a great topic of discussion. If instead of saying ‘4-2-4′ I had said ‘4-4-2′ from the very beginning, we wouldn’t be discussing this ‘innovation’. Maybe all it is is just a normal idea of play. It is a normal 4-4-2. I think in England most teams that are winning are applying this type of module, which enables you to cover the playing field in the best possible way I think. I think it’s simply the most rational formation in most cases. In fact, it’s the essence of reason. With a 4-4-2, 60% of your players are occupying 60% of the pitch. No other formation is as efficient at covering space.” For me the 352 would be a complex tactics for the players we have presently to grasp (especially in the wingback positions) and I think it isn't convenient for players like Hazard or Willian. Fergie had me envious with his deadly 442 system and I would love to see how we implement at Chelsea.
July 10, 201610 yr When does he arrive in London? Tomorrow or Tues Giving his first press conference tomorrow I believe.
