I particularly enjoyed the part where he said something along the lines of - People might consider us as under dogs but that small flame flickering can grow into a blazing inferno.

What the hell was that brexit question?

Didn't hear it fully but sounded stupid

The Brexit question was asked by an Italian journo who asked something along the lines of "do you feel a responsibility to succeed given Brexit." Daft question.

He looked nervous to begin with but soon got into it. It was quite refreshing to see a press conference without all the Jose bravado.

Said he's seen a good attitude and willingness from the players.

Was very impressed with the press conference. Conte was so passionate about working hard in training it got me so inspired I almost decided to do a push-up for the first time in 20 years. Then I quickly realized how ridiculous that idea was and changed my mind. Still, very impressive.

No great surprise he's keeping JT as captain, the big question for me is when JT is out injured or in bad form, who's the VC? That'll give us an idea who will take it once JT does eventually retire or leave.

 

Who are our realistic options at this stage?  No use giving it to Ivanovic or Cahill as they're getting on as well.  Out of our younger players it's really only Hazard.  He did captain Belgium, but in saying that Hazard isn't really a leader as such.  Willian wouldn't be the worst VC either, as he was one of the very few that tried to lift us last season.

 

Zouma is one I think could captain us in the future if he stays with us.

After seeing the press conference he seems like a breath of fresh air. I have a good feeling about him.

Honestly, I'm very excited about him.  NO arrogance, hard work ethic, no BS.  I actually hope he surpasses Jose's status.  And that's not a dig at Jose.

Can't wait for the season to get started. His press conference was great, you could just feel his passion and love for the game when he spoke. I hope he can achieve great things here and be our manager for a long time because he seems like the perfect fit.
