Looking like an intelligent player!

Love the fact that he can make something out of nothing with his dribbling, something Diego lacked.  Fun to watch!

Hmm I seem to remember a number of occasions by Costa where he dribbles just before he scores. Something out of nothing.

I think he means his dribbling technique is good, Costa had a habit of running straight into defenders, Morata has a bit more ability on the ball, it's fair to say. Also looks a lot better in the air. Happy with what he showed in that game anyway

Sure, here and there he did, but like @RMCM says below, he did have a habit of running straight into defenders, and is not known for his dribbling ability.  When I think of something out of nothing for Diego, it would be goals like against West Brom at the Bridge this past season.  Power to muscle the defender off the ball and a clinical finish, not necessarily good dribbling ability.

Yes exactly, thank you

I have high hopes with Morata. He looks class. Even acts classy. I think he will be the best signing in the PL this summer. Cannot wait to see the lad every week.

Even in that short display for me I can see the intelligence and his technical ability is very good and certainly miles better than Lukaku, if he can get in his scoring stride he is a player that has a very high ceiling, worst thing for him is not to score straight away, Costa did and he kept scoring, very important in a new league, sooner he gets in the goals the better.

Morata still has some way to reach Costa’s top level. That was essentially my point. Hope he does and goes beyond that.

Didn't mean for it to be a "who's the better striker" conversation lead.

Morata is better at dribbling and creating off the dribble.  That was essentially my point.

When he came on Bayern started to double up on him and immediately you can see space opening up. In the first half, Bayern flooded the midfield so much Kante practically drowned in it.

If we are this excited over a training ground trick imagine when he scores his first goal

But honestly what an acquisition he is big, pacey, can dribble, has 2 good feet, great finish, good in the air and is very technical.

I'm getting paranoid incase he can't find his scoring stride...when he starts banging in the goals I'll be a very happy Chelsea supporter.
