December 19, 201510 yr Terry needs to go asap. He should have disappeared in the summer. Why ? We need Terry at the club. Edited December 19, 201510 yr by Scott Harris
December 19, 201510 yr oh, and this last season's work load was too much is complete bullsh*t also because the work load last season is exactly what it took to win the league and especially the double. If that's too much then clearly these are not players capable of repeating the feat. So why the f**k did we just fire our best ever manager to appease them? Not forgetting these are f**king professional athletes, who should be the epitome of fitness.
December 19, 201510 yr http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=intl:2763968Could you have picked a worse c**t to back up your argument? He talks more sh*te than Robbie savage! Edit: I actually sat through that and it's just reminded me how much I hate Burley, he looked like he enjoyed that, w**ker. Edited December 19, 201510 yr by EdinburghBlue
December 19, 201510 yr We just wasted the chance to create a dynasty with a fully committed world class manager who loves us. You can't blame him to go for his professional career when he already gave us a second chance. Jose will never ever build a dynasty, he is way too confrontational with press, refs, opposition managers, directors & players, if he does not upset more than 6 peaple in a season, then I start believing in santa claus again.
December 19, 201510 yr At least on maybe plus for Jose getting the Manure job, Mata will be available again,

Edit: I actually sat through that and it's just reminded me how much I hate Burley, he looked like he enjoyed that, w**ker. Yeah, the ESPN FC crew wanted Jose to step down when he accused le voyeur 'The King'. Everyone thought it was tasteless, but was it?

My thoughts as well. People keep blaming players for intentionally underperforming, but I think it's just as likely they became increasingly afraid to make mistakes infront of Mourinho.
December 19, 201510 yr That is an interesting point. Maybe sometimes an overload of information on players and too much control over them has the opposite effect. Edited December 19, 201510 yr by GhostOfDembaPast
December 19, 201510 yr Jose used to inspire and give massive confidence but he seems to drain players these days. I'm actually struggling to think of a player that has improved under Jose in his second stint. Willian possibly but we're only talking 16 games in. Zouma would be another one. Apart from that, in struggling.
December 19, 201510 yr JT. Came back from the dead. Azpilicueta. Established as a top fullback. Hazard, though not this season, of course.
December 19, 201510 yr JT - possibly but it was only because of a rough season with Rafa Dave - was already established with us before Jose. Hazard - already established with us Any others? Think back to 2004 and the list is endless - JT, Cech, Lamps, Drogba... Shows a difference in Jose. Edited December 19, 201510 yr by JM7
December 20, 201510 yr Dave didn't reach the levels of consistency as hevdud with Jose. Hazard stepped his game up, last season and bought a level of consistency and responsibility he had not boughr to his play till then. Those players you mentioned were stronger and more willing, mentally. Oscar, Matic are the two I think regressed or stagnated under him. Cahill, Iva, Fabregas, all not really at the age to improve in any great way.
December 20, 201510 yr Every fan is entitled to an opinion and I respect every opinion, but I found that booing certain players situation today to be really distasteful, and quite frankly it annoyed me. There is absolutely no doubt that the players have been poor, in some games downright awful, but I find it naive and ridiculous to single out the players and chant the name of the former manager after every goal. I love Mourinho as much as any fan but he is not perfect, and quite frankly his performance this season as Chelsea manager was at times scandalous. Everyone knows he didn't get the right support in the transfer market, but starting off with the Eva Carneiro situation, followed by his ridiculous refeering claims and generally, his downright woeful tactics, this season Mourinho showed that he is not the angel he was portrayed as at the bridge today. The shackles are off for our players, and I think we're about to really kick on
December 20, 201510 yr Lord, if by some miracle Mata would return if Jose went to Man United, I'd be so f**king happy Mata is too similar to Fabergas in terms of strength and weakness - Both need space on the ball to work their magic and a solid defense behind them to allow them to concentrate only on offensive duties without the worry of trying to track back if they get out-muscled off the ball.

December 20, 201510 yr http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/12060234/Chelsea-news-Jose-Mourinho-pleaded-for-Roman-Abramovichs-help.html painful to read that Roman ignored Jose's plead. He could've helped him in the summer, didn't do that. Could've helped him with the coming January window, didn't do that. Could've helped him with that pep-talk Jose wanted, but even didn't do that. All he did was giving him ''more time'' than other previous sacked managers, thanks for giving him 1 month extra in exchange for the 6 beautiful years he gave us.
December 20, 201510 yr Now he is gone, mark my words you will see this Chelsea perform without inhibitive shackles around them, we are a fabulously gifted attacking outfit, so don't tell me we played world class football in the last half of last season, check back on matchday threads about the dross we were playing, nearly everyone said oh we're defence based, with no real identity to our play, blah blah blah......and relyon mostly liking to play on the counter attack, but i don't think in the end that suited our players, especially Eden, Oscar played like a Brazillian yesterday, i remember him admonishing Joey for being a flash git, so we never really saw any expression of freedom,....

Think back to 2004 and the list is endless - JT, Cech, Lamps, Drogba... Shows a difference in Jose. You didn't say established, you said improved. Hazard went up a level last year, JT returned to former glories, Zouma became a first team player. Cech was always top class from the first minute he was here. Edited December 20, 201510 yr by Stim

Dave and hazard were better under mourinho, established or not. Talk about moving the goal posts.
