Lets be frank, Oscar for Kante + £33million is the best piece of business in the PL ever.  Shame we blew that £33 mil on Michy and then never played him but hindsight eh.

I still think Michy is a good player personally. I love how the media set on him when he had one of the best premier league goal to minute ratios in the league last season. I also think he's a player that appreciates the opportunity he has had signing for such a big club. I hope he makes it here.

I dont disagree, however we have truly made our bed with the Diego situation, had we played Batman we wouldn't be held at gun point with our other negotiations now Diego has made his intentions clear.  He is either:

• Not good enough and thus we spunked £32 million for no reason or
• We were incompetent in our utilisation of him thus we have spunked a years worth of development time and potentially decreased his value.  

Either way it paints a poor picture on his transfer.  I think he has potential, we wouldn't have parted with so much money without, I just don't think we have any idea how good he could or how he'd fit Contre's system because we haven't seen enough of him.

I agree--power, pace, aerial ability, range on his shot.  Just needs more of a "motor", so to speak, that killer mentality, and he'll be pretty good.

Definitely. Hopefully some of that will rub off on him from the squad if he stays with us long enough.

I'm from Hertfordshire, they ain't scary over there. If you mean here you'll be alright. I live in the middle of nowhere, the next town over only has one police officer....not one per shift, one in total!

I heard Joey Barton was just being brought in as an ambassador and to be a role model and tutor to the youth players with particular focus on how to behave outside of football
