Misunderstanding by the looks of it.  When you said 3 good games before the Liverpool match, I didn't know you meant the 3 games immediately prior to the Liverpool match.

I haven't read your post about his 5 good games in the Morata thread so would have no idea about that.

My wording wasn’t the best but yes that’s what I meant.

Plus I was pretty pissed off by the time I was writing that just after the match. This season has been horrible.

Also the reason why I put that, regarding morons, is because some people who constantly slate the manager and a certain number of our players, constantly praise Bakayoko for having a poor game. It's got the point where people will praise Bakayoko (they probably played with him on FIFA or something before he came so they've always liked the idea of him) when he does nothing.

Swansea, Southampton, Burnley he was poor in every one of those games. Those were the games I meant.

It did get to the point Baka would play a pass and people would say he had a good game, I know his been sh*t but we can't start saying he has had a good game because he played a pass.

I think it just all becomes relative doesn't it. What would have been an average performance from a player like Essien, is a man of the match winning performance from the likes of Bakayoko.

A bit like when Torres was somehow voted player of the season based on the match thread ratings back in 2012. Good times.

He was actually good against Liverpool, his best games for me were Atletico away and Huddersfield away. But that's the type of stuff Kante does every single game even when the team are bad, so it's like we've accepted mediocrity and gone "Eh yeah that's alright, that's better, very good"... Meanwhile, the other scapegoats on the forum get blasted even when they haven't played a game.

There is a highlights video of his performance on youtube, you should watch it. He's been so bad that a game in which he made one tackle and one long pass has made people think it was a good performance, there were still endless mis-controls and terrible passes.

let's not forget that liverpool had a midweek game and no chamberlain (as average as he is, he still fits that liverpool system well) whereas we had a full weeks rest. looking good against a tired liverpool side should have been a given tbh.

He was good today. Kept the ball well, cut out passing lanes, and nicked the ball a few times.

edit. having seen the replay, he was supposed to be on pogba for that header, so he got away with one as well today.

The way I see it, he's just a very simple minded player. In a midfield of 3, give him a simple task to do, he'd do a decent job. In a midfield 2, he's expected to multi task and he's completely lost. He's done the job against United and Liverpool when all he just had to defend and occasionally run forward a few times.

He’s clearly sh*t. But he did put a lot of effort into the match, you can see it meant a lot to him. I guess he just can’t help being sh*t.

Its really funny when he tripped himself over in the penalty box.

I'm sure VG or Loftus Cheek can do better than keep it simple in a midfield 3, tbh most footballers could. Just past the ball left or right and in Baka's case jog.

Even the sanchez foul, I think he was about to trip down over himself even if sanchez hadn't tripped him.

Im willing to give him another season seeing as this was his first (same with Morata) but if he shows no signs of improvement then he'll have to go.

As bad as Baka has been this season, he has shown a few glimpses of being a decent player. If we play with a midfield trip next season, I feel as if Kante, Baka and RLC would be one deadly combo!

I feel like he needs to work on certain things. He needs to bulk up a bit and I think if I were him I’d do extra training sessions on certain things.

He needs to work on his ball control and quick passing.  He has been terrible overall this season and we suffered in mid because of him - He can be given another chance next season yes but only as back up and probably to cover for Europa and some cup games as well.  To me - there is no way any sane manager would have Bakayoko ahead of Loftus Cheek.  I hope Chelsea give this boy a chance cause I think he will be a perfect box to box complementing Kante in mid.
