Really admire how they go about their business. We had an opportunity to buy Mahrez last Summer and we baulked at the 60m asking price. A bargain in the current market. Bet Leicester reckon he's worth a lot more now. Admire they're f**king business really? They just throw money at every single player, and if anyone else tries competing they just throw more money at the players/club. Its a f**king joke, arab money is a joke

January 31, 20188 yr They wanted 95 million off city, must be joking, se is a 40 mil player which is 60 to city not 95 they took the piss and even city turned away
January 31, 20188 yr Congratulations to Leicester City. Make Mahrez wait for his move. Handing in a transfer request that late in the day praying City pay the earth. City can do one too.
January 31, 20188 yr What's the point of a transfer request? Just to let the club know you really really really want to leave?

You can't have pundits like that tw@t Lawrenson creaming themselves about how Pep Guardiola has developed his squad in his image and created a brand of football that nobody else can compete with when he has spent £460m in 18 months and has four of the five most expensive defenders in the world, having replaced his entire defence from last season. How can this guy not win everything going with those type of resources at his disposal. And how the f **k is it that we get accused of not developing youth, buying the league, we ain't got no history, blah blah blah, yet when Guardiola does exactly this, its then total football. Footy is rotten to the core.....Chels are hated.....what else is new ha. I'll bet my life had we done what pep is doing, we would be skinned in the media. UEFA would be encouraged to come after us. Check my comments from 2 days ago about their laundering and sponsorships. Its all in-house. Anyone believing city has the 4th highest income is stupid.....yet nothing is said or done.....yet they cant fill their stadium ever. They have free reign to do what they want.....when will people wake and see that footy has been corrupt for ages.

Agree there is favouritism and corruption but doesn't this just make it better when you go to big favoured football cauldrons and give them a right royal hammering. I remember in the 90's when CFC were middle of the table not doing much but beating Fergies championship winning Utd side 3-2 home and away.

Indeed got a ticket for the away match only to find they moved it to a Sunday and we were on a losing run so the youngsters were put in like Damien Mathew and we won. The best match atmosphere I have ever experienced which peaked after we did 10 men went to mow with the whole end timing it perfectly and the response just made your ears buzz as noise was everywhere and it was great when we got the winner. Townsends' being the pick. http://www.bounder.friardale.co.uk/Results/1990.htm#3504

January 31, 20188 yr we did similar when Roman arrived in 2003That was comparable to what city did when the built their first title winning side. Roman/Chelsea have never done what City are doing over the last 3 windows.

I’m the first to say I’m not happy with the direction the club is going in but everyone complaining about City and their signings just sounds like sour grapes and jealousy. We were once the big boys of the playground with money to splash and now there’s another kid with much more money, some of our fans can’t take it.

Although i agree with the others that it is slightly different to how we used to spend money, i'm still more on your side on this. We spent a huge amount of money to get where we are, City are spending more now than we ever did, but if anything was proven when we were doing it it was that money doesn't guarantee you success. Just like United did against us, it's now up to the rest of the league to catch up. When we won two league titles in 2005 and 2006, everyone thought we would dominate English football for years, it didn't go that way though. City aren't invincible, even with all of their money, they can be caught. It all comes down to how well a club is being managed. If everything falls into place, you have a great chance.
February 1, 20188 yr I'm glad Leicester basically refused to entertain selling him as I don't think City will be back for him in the summer.

I'm guessing it's because if a club like city are spending all that money, you at least expect nice football as well as trophies. At the moment city seem to be on course for a pl title and playing good football to boot. Playing good football is seen as admirable. Right now we're the only team not playing that good of football. Utd aren't either, but they are the biggest club in england so it doesn't matter.
