Drink water comes to mind. Plus Bats and Bakyoko would be too if we didn’t loan them out.

He is talking about Bayern Munich. Not Chelsea.

CHO is a World cup winner at U17 level, along with x2 youth FA cup winners, thats more proven than Pulisic imo.

How can 3 youth cups be more proven than over 100 professional appearances?!

You've kind of made my point as both Bats and Bakayoko got plenty of game time compared to Hudson-Odoi. Drinkwater was probably only ever going to be backup.

If Bayern buy Hudson-Odoi for £35million you can't realistically think that they're going to give him even less game time than what we was giving him?!

Unfortuanely if he goes the club have no one else to blame.

I’m still not convinced he’s leaving just yet. He just said this after the FA Cup match

“I’ve just got to be patient and keep working hard, no matter what. I’ve got to keep pushing in training. The injuries are unfortunate. For me I’ve got to keep working hard and hopefully my chances will come.”

Very true. I’d hate to see him leave after putting in a shift that Willian hasn’t been able to do in some time now.

Again im not sure if he’ll leave. Out HG pool will have diminished significantly over the summer if him, Fabs, Moses, and Cahill leave plus Drinkwater who shouldn’t be on the books anymore anyways.

Getting a bit ridiculous now, Fulham were linked with the trio of Cahill, Moses & Drinkwater earlier in the day. Where do we stand with the homegrown rules if Fàbregas leaves? I would think we would either need to replace him with an homegrown player, or take a foreign one off.

PSA

We can lose every single home grown player in our squad and still be okay. The rules are a limit of non home grown.

We currently have room for one non home grown player

That is certainly another consideration. The rules are supposed to tighten up on homegrown players if I remember correctly. If anything we need to offload fringe players that are not homegrown.

One positive about a transfer ban is that it will force us to use academy players I suppose.

Yes but almost all the replacements we are linked with are not homegrown. So we could replace say Fabregas with Barella and we would immediately reach our cap without offloading non homegrown

CHO is only trying to increase his value. He will eventually sign with Chels. Mark my words

could be a genius move  "Well CFC has shown countless times they will play a big money signing over their own youth regardless of performance leevls...... so if I show them I could be a big money signing for another club, maybe CFC will actually give me chances"

and tbh, might be some truth in that logic. Injuries obviously have a part, but I struggle to see CHO starting this game if Bayern wasnt actively after him.

If a team pays £35million for you it almost guarantees more game time

35 mil doesn't even guarantee a place on the bench nowadays.

Good performance by the lad. Did better than Willian overall, and shows he can hold up against a top side. I'd like to see him being a bit more adventurous, but given the opposition and the occasion its understandable that he was playing quite safe. He needs to stay now and build off this. Leaving for a totally new league at this point would be plain stupid.

and cross to the centre forward making the near post run maybe?

Thought he did well first half and had the beating of Rose, Sarri subbing Pedro on first was a mistake, he was a lot less effective on the left and still didn't have a CF to aim for.

Needed him on with Giroud to supply the crosses. Not take him off for Giroud.

Dont be silly.

Why would you want to pick a winger who can actually cross with quality AND a striker who is good in the air when you can pick Willian and watch in wonder at his aimless play?

Sarriball,  jose's way or Conte's wall it is all the same. All on Hazard since Diego left.

I'd give him a solid 7/10 for today. proved he can play at the clubs level against a top class opponent. As for Pedro, I think it was a logical move to be honest. Willian wasnt really doing sh*t, and expecting CHO to grind out 90 high pressure minutes is a big ask. Pedro gave us fresh legs. It didnt turn into a result, but hey we're only halfway through the tie.

I was thinking Giroud for Willian move Hazard left and feed crosses in which Giroud thrives on. Pedro for CHO around 80.

Yeah that might have been a better choice.
