Ryan was literally nowhere. Griezman was still in control, that's why the ref gave it. Poor goalkeeping, if you ask me, he should have been moving out, making himself bigger and eventually grabbing the ball.
June 16, 20188 yr I hate VAR, it takes all the excitement out of scoring a goal, while you wait to find out if it's actually going to be allowed or not.
June 16, 20188 yr Argentina can't defend. It doesn't matter how much firepower they have, defensively they are laughable, it's held them back for years.
June 16, 20188 yr Is it just me or has no so called "favourite" stamped their authority in these first games? Spain drew against a one man team. France were poor today and staggered over the line (literally and figuratively) vs Australia Argentina struggling to break down Iceland I think on Monday England need to really prove a point vs Tunisia. June 16, 20188 yr this has to be the best image from the World Cup so far Edited June 16, 20188 yr by robdog
June 16, 20188 yr Actually it is very impressive. He jumps much higher than players to either side of him, and he looks right at the ball instead of closing his eyes or turning his head to the side like most players do in a wall. And he covering his nimnuts with his hands like he is supposed to, unlike the players in either side of him. Edited June 16, 20188 yr by Phillip

I feel the same, although Brazil or Germany tomorrow will set the bar high, as usual. If they don’t impress, then hopefully we’ll smash Tunisia and everyone will be fearing us You just know we will end up drawing 1 - 1.

June 17, 20188 yr Germany were really poor. Hopefully now our fans will stop banging on about Draxler, a player who is never going to improve us.
June 17, 20188 yr Mexico are always surprisingly good at world cups. No team has really stood out so far, they've all got their weaknesses. I feel it's going to be Brazil's to lose.
June 17, 20188 yr I would pick Rudiger over all of those other German defenders, he would have coped a lot better with Mexico's counter attacks.
June 17, 20188 yr Thought Germany were unlucky not to get an equaliser in the 2nd and Mexico with better finishing could have been three up!
