TBH I think it's the way it should be.  Scoring a billion goals against Qarabag doesn't mean much.  Roma beat us fair and square, and if tied on points they should be ahead.  All we had to do was 1 of the following three:

1. Not blow a 2-0 lead to Roma at the bridge

2. Not lose (3-0) @ Roma

3. Not lose tonight when we were the clear better team at the bridge

We could win that game, we've had many chances thanks to Hazard who making it look easy, but two very awful missed chances by Morata and Willian. We had to win and finish at the top of the table. 

Anyways, let's wait for the draw, my heart says PSG is coming.

So poor in the final 3rd. PSG or Barcelona it is then.

We'll draw PSG, Bakayoko will nutmeg Neymar and we'll win 3-0 thanks to three Morata goals, each scored with his head.

What a frustrating game, dominant, so many chances and we waste nearly all of them, everything breaks down in the final third, it's so bloody annoying. How many times do Haz and Fabregas lay it on a plate for people to f**k it all up? Lost count, need a goal scoring midfielder.

I thought we were the better team for the majorty of the match, just didn’t have enough of a cutting edge which I’ve said is a fault of ours for a while.

 

Willians miss was absolutely criminal, you absolutely have to hit the target from there!

You gotta beat the best at some point so not too bothered TBH. Barca don't look all that this season but be good to avoid PSG.

We do need to be more clinical in front of goal.

Can’t say that we deserved to win the group. We only won 3 matches and 2 of them were against Qarabag so not exactly impressive. 

Willian was awful, I do like him but his end product is woeful. He cannot complain that he’s not getting game time. 

Overall, our performance tonight wasn’t bad, just VERY wasteful. 

Conte putting himself under more scrutiny and making things more difficult for himself. 

What pisses me off is we are the best team in that group, far better than Roma, we pissed about too much

I can't believe the chances we squandered tonight. We really should have won that match. 

I'm hoping there's a turn around in Liverpool's group tomorrow night that's the only way we get another option to PSG Barca or Besiktas

Of course we will get either psg or barca.......you reaslly think they will give Chels the besiktas game? haha no way my friends.....once Again we will get those country backed psg.......and the pro World will want psg to go through......they are the new supremo team in the eyes of many. Never understood the mentality of avoiding the big clubs. What's the point of being in this competition if you want to avoid certain clubs. May as well test out your level 

We played really well but for the end product, lets not take away from the fact we bossed that match. You do feel we are a bit light weight in the goals department. We are one one world class attacking option away from the next level for me... compare it to City who from a best 11 point of view, I don't think are all that much better then us if at all, but if they need a goal they have so much to come of the benhc

As with all cup competitions you want the easiest route to the final

Can the slippers slip one more time, please? I would take Sevilla/Besiktas over PSG/Barca.

Oblak had a blinder today didn't help by our finishing being w**k these days.

Morata should have scored but Oblak was very good, denied him the chance to pick a spot. Willian and Christensen should not have missed their chances.

Bakayoko fell asleep for the Atleti goal but we had more than enough chances to make up for it.

2nd half was better except for the finishing which is a bit uncharacteristic for us because seasons past our problems were normally in creating chances whilst we were very clinical. Needs to get that mojo back.

Fair result in the end though, should not have squandered our lead against Roma.

Needs to bounce back and learn from today. 

Dominant performance from us I thought, Hazard is brilliant for me in the top 3 players in the world right now. Don't care who we get in the next round we can do anyone on our day! UTC! 

I guess we can hope for seville to win their group then we have a 50/50 of getting an easier team

I hope so too. There's no way Real will draw PSG. They'll sure get Besiktas, so it will be either PSG or Barca if Sevilla don't win their group.

For me, it shows how important it is to have somebody like Pedro in there. When you can't take your chances, it's good to have that player that can score from nothing. We are missing that when he's not on the field. I agree with you, we need a goal scoring midfielder. Bakayoko, Kante, Drinkwater and Fabregas won't get enough.

Agreed, Pedro added a bit of flair that wasn't there before.
