The VAR assistant still wouldn't have given a pen ? You have to be having a f**king laugh. This system is sh*t, just like it was in the Confederations cup. Refs are sh*t, no matter how much help they are going to get.

Are we really surpirsed that within a week of VAR Graham Scott ends up being the first one to f**k it up.

I’m sorry but how can it not be a clear and obvious error when there’s clearly contact and it’s not a dive yet he’s booked him for diving  how much more clear and obvious can it be

Willian was fouled and booked for diving. How much f**king clearer does it need to be?

Even if you don't think it's a pen there's no way it's simluation deserving of a yellow. He jumped to avoid and has every right to do with his feet whatever he wants so that when he lands he is in a good position to shoot.  His leg was clipped.  For me it's a pen but the one thing it is certainly NOT is simulation/yellow card.

That's going to be the problem with VAR referees won't want to say another ref is wrong. Works brilliantly in cricket as well because they aren't scared to overturn a decision.
