Worried about the lack of direction at this club. We signed average players, we seem often incapable of creating any chances, we play with no real style and the tactics are often too defensive and cowardly. It worked when we had fewer games last season and the formation change was a surprise, but we look poor this season. 

 

If Hazard and courtois go, which is looking more likely the longer they stall, i really worry about our future.

I undertstand that so why not have Musonda on the bench or put Bats up front and keep the same formation. There was still optons to keep it the same.

We win it's rosy, we lose you got people losing their minds and picking the players and coach apart haha, hilarious. God the fickleness is tedious. I don't know why I keep coming here and expecting any composure and logic from certain posters after a loss. Just punishing myself. We could be through to the final of every competition and some people would still moan.

To be fair though we were playing well before the injury then the link up play completely went out the window when Willian went off completely ruined the shape of the team with no natural wide player and shoe horning Barkley in.

Exactly and you could tell that Ross was rusty, playing him out wide did nothing for his confidence and he offered next to nothing.

That still doesn't say whether he was playing good or not which I said he wasn't. The same formation could have been kept but thas on Conte.

TERRIBLE. How many clear cut chances have we created from OPEN PLAY???? Barkley came off injured I wont judge him. Conte spends 24/7 of his life on football apparently he has no hobbies. Well for someone of his intellect and passion he sure lacks football IQ. Terrible decisions all round this season. Musonda should have been on the bench. 

Goodbye Tbo and Eden. Welcome more bang average players. Im done watching matches for now its the same crap every week. Got better things to do than watching Alonso flap at runners and Moses failing to take on his man.

Our offensive strategy died after Willian's hamstring injury (The most unexpected highlight of the day) obviously no back-up plan for that. Batshuayi can fuk off forever. I want him sold, not loaned.

Musonda should've played instead of Barkley. Fatal mistake by Conte not including him in the squad. This isn't how you debut an amateur against a big club and expect something out of it. Especially in a Semi-Final !!

To me, the most disappointing thing is that our schedules got congested for nothing.

I don’t think Berkley did that bad considering that was his first match all season. It’s not his fault we have no focal point to our attack.

Alonso looks exhausted – Palmeiri can’t arrive soon enough.

Yeah we cant blame Eden etc if they were to leave......same with Conte. Our ambitions and lust for succses are way out of sync.

No they got congested looking for silverware, we won't always win it but I'd  much sooner we give the cups a real go then just accept that top four is our goal in January.

It's one of those matches were no one played THAT well, but no one was particularly awful and because of that, luck was against us and Arsenal scored two fluke goals while we had a player injured.
Not too bothered at the end of the day, I honestly care more about a League match against Newcastle than a League Cup Semi Final against Arsenal these days.
Just annoys me when people pick the usual suspects to scapegoat when no one was actually that great or that bad.
