Newcastle V Chelsea (PL) Sun 26th Aug 16:00 UK

It's only been 3 months since they gave us one of the worst thrashing of the year, time to return the favour. I don't see how they could hurt us with the players they got, of course we need to be our best with the playing system still in the infant stage. It's about time Hazard to start, holding him back further would be ridiculous.

Really think Christensen should play with Rudiger... think he could help cover in our back 4. Luiz seems to really struggle in a back 4. Would also like to see Emerson play as LB. Other than that, I don't know if Kova?i? will be ready for a full 90, but Hazard should be ready to start. Can't wait to see what this team is around Christmas, if we sure up the defensive side, should challenge for the title.

I would tell the same if there wasn't this Manchester City.

I think the squad is more or less going to be the same as the weekend

kepa

azpi rudiger alonso luiz

Kante jorginho Barkley Pedro

Willian morata

sarri will probably bring hazard on near the end but the game could go two way with loads of goals and we scrap a victory or come away with a a 1-0 win. I’m saying 3-2 to the blues

A win here is vital to keep up with the top 4 and also put distance between ourselves and Spurs and or Utd who play on Monday night.

Its good to see though that even after 2 good wins, 6 goals scored, that we're kind of flying under the radar and we're not expect to finish in the top 4.

Last time that happened, Conte turned us into champions, I'm not saying it will happen again but we're in a much better place now than we were at the end of May.

Following Newcastle we've a few "easy" games on paper, Bournemouth and Cardiff at home and West Ham away before we welcome another rival to the Bridge, the scousers. I'd love if we managed to have 6 wins under our belts before we play that lot, theres not many games I love winning more than Pool, home or away.

Man City have an even easier next couple of games, Wolves, Newcastle, Fulham, Cardiff, Brighton all before the play Pool in October, hoepfully w can keep up with them for the next 8 weeks.

Agree with your point about staying under the radar while winning, as long as possible anyway.

It's been nice having Hazard on the bench first couple of games as you know he's a game changer if things aren't going as well as hoped. However, I think as much as he would have accepted sub role for those games, it is about time he took his rightful place in the starting line up - for me it would be at the expense of Willian.

We have a dreadful record in the North East, so lets hope we can put that to bed and put in a convincing performance and take home all 3 points and leave all those fanatical Geordies crying into their Newcastle Brown Ale!

Won't tempt fate and do a prediction because of past results up there, but Come On The Chels!!

However i think Luiz will be in the starting line up.

I don't think anyone is expecting us to battle for the title, that's where we're under the radar, but the way United and Arsenal are looking early on, I think most people would have Chelsea in the Top 4 right now.

I think the most important thing is not to drop stupid points to the opponents out of the top 6. That’s what hurt us last season we dropped 22 points.

That’s if we want to make the top 4

Should Hazard comes from the bench once again, I'm going to be worried about what one Naples fan have said here earlier in the summer about the never coming  changes. :D

All depends on attitude. You talk about history and our failures over recent years there.

Why has it been? They have never had a better team than us. Is all down to attitude. Players not linking the long trip and the cold north.

Newcastle raise their game and we lower ours. So the results are not a surprise. If we maintain our commitment as the first two games, minus the awful period of defending, we will win. If not then we come away unhappy again.

August in England axman everywhere is cold.
