I can't see any downside with this guy - he seems like exactly what we need, and it is bizarre that we already have more knowledge of how he operates and how he thinks than we have had about Roman in nigh on 20 years LOL. The only thing that surprises me, having listened to him speaking for half an hour, is that he has bought CFC very much at the top of the market. He must have one hell of a plan to make his money back !

He comes across as very "un-American" in terms of his management style, which I must say is very refreshing (I worked for a US company for 26 years and we were in dire need of some decent Execs who actually realised it wasn't all about them, and it wasn't all about bullying the staff)

How many matches is that now that our new owner has attended and failed to see us win? 5? 6?

PL yet to give the Fit and Proper owner seal to the new owners and gov are not looking in to anything until they do.

Government approval has been said to likely take till early June, around the PL new season ratification date.

Wonder if they will go to the press if they see unnecessary hold ups as without approval we cannot really sign new players again putting us at a disadvantage compared to other clubs.

It's pathetic how it still probably won't get sorted until early June,that's if something else doesn't extend it more.

I really like the way he sees professional sports as a business. He knows how it works. The team needs to win for anything else to happen. He also lets the professionals do their work and I got the impression he is not micro-managing which is great. That f**king thing kills the motivation if anything. 

As he owns about hundred businesses I don't see him being around that much.

It makes you feel the someone somewhere is hell bent on dragging this out as long as possible. If they can't sink us totally they will drag their heels as much as possible so that we are then disadvantaged in the transfer market.

Not sure how people here feel about this whole saga but for me it has once again risen the ugly head of this forum. People are shouting out selfish and impatient comments about the biggest sale of a sporting club ever which is also attached to the horrors in Ukraine. 

I would really like to vent out how I feel about it but I won't. 

Have some patience. We are in such a privileged position as football fans.

Haven’t really seen much of this here, maybe a few comments. In general I think Chelsea fans have been very patient with the whole saga. As we know certain others would have been the opposite. 

There were rumours last week that it was ahead of schedule and it could be announced this week. Maybe something has changed..or maybe it’s the PL dragging it out.

Should we really even care what Sky have to say after the disaster assumption they made about Roman?

PL were supposed to have the fit and proper test finished today at the latest. So we will see if that happens.

Far as the gov goes, these rumours coming out don't surprise me.

Have seen it pop up suggesting the government are not happy with how both Roman and CFC have reacted to these measures, a feel we are out of touch with the situation in the Ukraine. 

Apparently there is a will in some quarters to make this as difficult as possible to punish Roman.

In other news today Greenpeace forced a Russian ship to about turn as it tried to dock with its cargo of 30 million pounds worth of Russian diesel. Our government are a load of Shysters who will use tough sanctions on individuals as a smokescreen whilst actively promoting a different agenda.

How bloody long have they had to work out where the money gets sent. There’s no way this has only just come up! Government being corrupt shysters as usual I suspect 

It’ll all go through tomorrow no problems then if the media are reporting it could fall apart. sh*t stirring c**ts that they are! I wish the media could go back to reporting news and not opinion/hearsay.

I fecking told you didn't I, Something aiint right never was, They want the club to crumble its an absolute disgrace and still no evidence he's close to putin at all, Someone even tried to poison him in ukraine!

I fully expect the gov to be the ones to blame if the sale is ruined, The level of interference in the sale from the gov and clearly no will to work with roman just absolutely stinks, Roman and the club came out with a statement last week saying no changes to his pledges etc

Always remember never let a good crisis go to waste. The government will happily use this headline whilst they bury other stories.

Goverments/Politics have no room in football. What happened at Chelsea this season is a good example of that and I hope in the future the FA can take notes to prevent any of this from happening again. However, I doubt it.
