Wait, so your telling me the latest insider scoop about it all going Pete Tong was bullsh*t, well I for one am flabbergasted our media would make stuff up.

They are just trying to give their beloved Liverpool everything. All 4 major trophies, Everton relegated and Chelsea out of business.

There goes Rory again going on about Roman trying to purchase his CPO share.

Fact of the matter is unless we move stadiums or do something drastically to Stamford Bridge we are going to be so left behind in terms of revenue generated from the stadium.

Well its already been mentioned in some detail that the stadium will be re built stand by stand and with clever seating and possibly some safe standing you can add loads of seats, Probs get her to 55-60k, A few clubs around have done it in last few years and added at least 10k extra seats in arguably a smaller patch etc

Hopefully they (new owners) trickle more info in the coming months so there's some clarity, The fact that they've got someone to head just the stadium biz alone is positive..

Our future under the new owners is the same as Roman. Fight for 3rd place. We won't get passed either City or Pool with their current managers and structures.

You never know. Chelsea under Mourinho set new heights, undefeated record at home, back to back premier league titles, we took the league by storm.

Now Liverpool and City have set the standard, really incredible teams but there’s always someone who will upset the cartel. Maybe it’s our turn.

We’ve got the manager, we’ve got incredible young players, the big question mark is the owner. Is he going to do better than Roman?

Roman was a brilliant owner but it did feel like he wasn’t as involved since he wasn’t allowed to attend games anymore a few years ago, when he had to get a Israel passport.

Todd has big shoes to fill.

New directors have been added to the corporate structure last night. Table below. It’s been reported that Chelsea are trying to push the sale through by Sunday.

For anyone that is still sceptical about whether we can compete with City and Liverpool I have 2 points.

Firstly we will always call it a process to catching these 2 clubs it doesn't happen over night, we've been trying for the last 2 seasons and facing setback after setback. Yet under new ownership despite what they will say publicly about how difficult it is, we need time etc. Privately both Todd and TT are very ambitious as is the team we will try to be the dark horse for the title.

Secondly with regards to my previous quote, I want to emphasise the difference between ownership models which will have a huge baring on future success. Whilst Roman will get no criticism from me I love him to bits, he did treat the transfer side of the football business as more of a hobby than an actual business.

Way too much money wasted on cheaper options rather than top signings just to fill out the squad, signings made because the owner liked them not because the coach wanted them. Token sales to direct rivals like Matic to Man U and Cech to Arsenal. None of these will happen under the American ownership model.

The key will be profit driven sporting success through the acquisition of top players for below market value or at a good price for us. Whilst maintaining our impressive player transfer sales model that has worked under Marina.

People keep comparing us to Liverpool's ownership style and to an extent it will most likely be similar. A lot of Dodger fans have been weighing in and point to data driven acquisitions, transfers of unknown good players who are under the radar and the signings of a listers at good rates.

As much as I would love us to remain at Stamford Bridge, I would not be against moving up the road to the old Earls Court Exhibition Centre site.

I believe the site is still available and is probably 3-4 times the size of the land that the Bridge sits on, so there would be no problem building a stadium of whatever size you like there.

Can you imagine having a brand new stadium and facilities which blows The Spuds stadium out of the water?

Don't know if it would be feasible, but I did read somewhere that a brand new stadium built from scratch would be cheaper than redeveloping Stamford Bridge.

Very exciting times ahead whatever happens methinks.

So I will ask. I have read Behdad is high up in Clearlake and a huge football fan. Mark Walter is the principal owners of the Dodgers, and Wyss hates football and is in to make money.

Who are the other 2?

The structure of the takeover makes me think within a few years (3-4) we will be under new ownership.

Can't see them getting the revenue they want though they may get us some more than in recent years.

None of the main shareholders can sell for 10 years.

If it's an option, Earls court is the best option.

I just worry that we won't try to do it because of the worries (that are definitely misplaced) about the CPO.

I worry we won't get enough CPO approval even if the pitch is good and for the best.

As we saw with Lampard and Jose sackings the average Chelsea fan is very much heart over head. In some aspects that's a very good trait (like how unless they cross lines and/or trash talk us we appreciate players/managers coming back even if they go to a rival, ala Mata and Cech) but I can't help but feel there's going to be many Rory "we never move from the land of Stamford Bridge" Jennings who just unconditionally won't budge.
