The guy is playing 30 games a season for Chelsea in Europe and PL, why would playing 30 games a season for crystal palace be more career defining? I'd much rather RLC and his consistent 6.5/7/10 performances in multiple positions than gambling on kids. Not sure what the weird fifa jab is about. Think our fans need to show our made in Cobham group a bit more respect.

We’ve got a nice handful of Cobham boys up and coming and in the squad or on loan, no need to be so precious with them all. Ruben and that reserve keeper are the first names involved in any brand activity or social media stuff, playing fifa, truth or dare games; putting him to use I guess.

You know what you get with Ruben. He turns up, he plays well enough, he doesn't make mistakes. Loses the ball a bit too readily in the final third, might not win you the game but won't lose you it either. How many 21 year olds give you that? Don't care about the marketing. Someones got to do it, might as well be the best looking man in football.

Which I still find it hard to believe, I've never been convinced by that story.

An ex or current partner of one of the players or a staff member.

We can blame Sarri I suppose. If he hadn't coaxed a double figure goal scoring season out of RLC, we probably wouldn't be expecting him to do so much more than he does ! Can guarantee that Loftus-Cheek has everything in training. Strong, quick, a good first touch, nice dribbling, a crisp passer of the ball, but he's one of those players that almost never brings it into a competitive game. He has no urgency, he plays at the same tempo no matter the situation. He just feels like a nothing player and his career has completely stagnated since he picked up his achilles injury. He doesn't offer enough for me and should be moved on in the summer.

Any player can play in multiple positions doesn't mean they are any good in any of them. Loftus-Cheek has failed miserably, he seemed to have it all at one time.

Can't think of a time when he's particularly cost us either. We can't have a 25 man squad full of world class players, having him able to play 6, 8, 10 and even wing back is so incredibly useful.

Completely agree on that. He may not be one of the "big-name players" of recent purchase but he comes to work every day and works hard. Afraid can't say the same for everyone in the squad.
March 13, 20233 yr It's easy to (as a fan) forget that we need 8 home grown in nation players in our squad (if we want to fill the 25 slots) and 4 of those need to be home grown at club for Europe.

March 15, 20233 yr Uefa is considering allowing clubs with the same owner to play in the Champions League simultaneously Quote Uefa is considering allowing clubs with the same owner to play in the Champions League simultaneously — a move that could have significant ramifications for the takeover of Manchester United. Aleksander Ceferin, the president of European football’s governing body, said a rethink of the existing rules was needed and that two options — to keep the ban and prohibit clubs with the same owner playing in the same competition, or to allow them to take part — would be explored. The two main offers for United have come from owners who have relationships with clubs in France’s top flight. Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos group also owns Nice, while the other bid has been submitted by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, the chairman of one of Qatar’s biggest banks, raising concerns about links to the Qatar-owned Paris Saint-Germain In a wide-ranging interview with Gary Neville’s The Overlap YouTube channel, Ceferin also apologised for last season’s Champions League final turmoil involving Liverpool fans, and revealed that Manchester City and Chelsea had been “hesitant” in joining the European Super League — which he insisted could not exist without English clubs. Asked about the potential conflict with owning two clubs in the same competition, Ceferin said: “We are not thinking about Manchester United only. We’ve had five or six owners of clubs who want to buy another club. We have to see what to do. “The options are that it stays like that or that we allow them to play in the same competition. I’m not sure yet. “We have to speak about these regulations and see what to do about it. There is more and more interest in this multi-club ownership. We shouldn’t just say no for the investments for multi-club ownership, but we have to see what kind of rules we set in that case, because the rules have to be strict.” Ceferin suggested that two clubs with the same owner could still compete properly in the same competition. “From one point of view it’s true if you are the owner of two clubs and they play in the same competition you can say to one club to lose because you want the other to win,” he added. “But for you, as a football player, do you think it’s so easy to do that, to tell a coach, lose the match because the other wants to win?”
