We won't compete with the top sides again until we sort out these injury problems. It's not normal to see players going off injured as often as this. It's almost every other game that a player will go down and get subbed off because he is injured.

I wonder whether the medical team is missing these or we are just unlucky. 

When a player lands awkwardly and either twists or hyper extends a joint you can’t criticise anyone the medical team. It’s just bad luck. 
 

I wonder how Cucurella would fair as RWB in some matches. 

I wouldn't be shocked if he rushes himself back for the World Cup ala Rooney and Beckham.

The FA can eat sh*t. Like you say, where were they last season when we had to play through so many injury problems whilst the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal can make sh*t up and get some rest?

Also, I don't see them bat an eyelid when international managers are calling up players that are nursing an injury or just returned from an injury. Maybe if Kante was allowed to get some proper time to heal instead of being called up for international football, he could have recovered and not spend what should be some of the best days of his career out injured.

Given how important James is to us it does sound like we could have handled the situation better. Would it have made a difference? I doubt it, but it does seem sensible he would return for medical oversight rather than spend a day sightseeing in Milan.

the precautionary scan for Mount is a sign that we're changing our approach  

Oh well, just as things were looking to be moving in the right direction, another season down the tubes. We simply don’t have a good enough squad to lose a key player and not feel it nowadays. And a team of continual crocks. Why do we have so many players that can’t keep out of the physio room or even surgery?

I don’t care about England and the World Cup. He should stay put and work on his recovery 

if you play with 7 defenders you might as well play Trippier instead of James 

i don’t see England winning the World Cup with Southgate anyway 

like the Catalan don’t care about the spain national team why would you care about the FA who despise our club?

You know Reece does and knows he was Southgates starter so I expect he pushes himself very hard to recover and Englad pick him.

I can't help but feel like we are doing something wrong. Can anybody say they have ever seen anything like this before at another club? We need to reserve a sub for an injury because you can be confident that somebody will go down and get pulled off. If you're pulling players off for an injury every other game, it can't just be bad luck.

Luckily for us, the world cup will disrupt things so it won't fill like James will be out too long. Saying that though, I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up yet another injury against Villa and few more before the world cup.

That’s what worries me. From the Chelsea statement I seem to read into it that they don’t expect Reece to go to the World Cup. There is no benefit for the club for James to go to the World Cup.
 

He has a long term deal, the increase in value wouldn’t matter as we’re not selling him.

if Southgate wants him to go I would not be surprised if Reece goes using painkilling injections.

I hope he doesn't push himself to go to the World Cup. I get that it's every player's dream to represent your country but international tournaments come and go but club football is a whole season.

I'd say he should take his time. I'd rather him miss 10wks of football than rush back for us or the WC. We need him properly fit
