    Stating what we all know, but we have a true world clsss player in James. Could see this back in his loan days, and great to see him mature on the pitch. Future captain to me. 
     

    I barely want to say this, but to me the next growth step is consistency (which you could argue he already has) and staying fit over the course of a season (somewhat outside his control). He would benefit from an understudy also that can relieve some minutes - although against Wolves Dave was exemplary and so nice to see!

    He's shone from day 1.

    The only Wigan supporter I know was adamant Reece James was the best player in his clubs history when they finished his loan there.

    Extraordinarily high praise for a player that spent one season on loan there while they were in the championship but he said by his 3rd game it was apparent he was so much better than everyone else at the club it was ridiculous.

    i am getting f**king frustrated . This is the second time in 6 days when our player picks up an obvious dangerous injury( first was Fofana)  but having been accessed by the medical department is allowed to come on . 

    This happened with james and after being ghosted by Leao ( the first time the whole match) he goes down and now we have to keep our fingers crossed. If James injury is serious it wont surprise me if he aggravated it during that duel with Leao.

    You cannot replace James. If he is out for a long time, we are in trouble.

    Potter and Co need to learn fast. If there is any doubt over Reece, unless it is a CL final, you take him off.

    Didn't the medical staff get the boot ?

    Even if he's given the all clear before Sunday, I hope to see Reece rested for the Villa and Brentford games. We saw last season how important he is to us, let's not overuse him now and pay for it later in the season.

    He's likely going to play every game for England at the WC based on current form (and with Trent/Walker's injuries factored in), if he's not fully fit going into the WC we'll be the ones who suffer afterwards.

    Potter will be tested now if James is out for months.

    We had to deal with similar issues last season but thankfully managed Top 4. Potter needs to find a way to do the same.

    Starting to look like he's a bit injury prone. Could stop him achieving the heights his ability should allow him to.
