Very smart of Boehly to tie James down to a 6 year deal. Aside from his obvious quality as a player I can see intangibles like "the opportunity to play with Reece" as being a big draw for potential transfer targets ... Bellingham eulogising enthusiastically about Reece on Twitter last night for example ... 

How good is he? Not many better right backs or right wing backs in the world. 

Gonna go down as an all-time great. Sees his entire career out here and he's challenging Lamps & Terry as Chelsea's best ever.

Its east to forget but he's still only 22, so he actually hasn't matured yet. Plus I'd rather he keeps that aggressive, just needs to get clevere with it.

Tying him down to a 6 year contract is the best thing we've done under the new ownership.

Can't believe some questioned his salary.

A home grown 22 year old is the best player in the world in his position, he's worth top top dollar and should be a star for years to come.
