Pretty limp first half. lamps should have freshened things up and not started with pretty much the same 11 that started against wolves.   Pulisic and giroud will be needed in the second half if we keep playing so physically and mentally slow

Wow, how much have we missed Mason that first half. Feel so sorry for the lad, looked absolutely gutted to say the least. Pedro needs to pull up his socks second half. Tomori and Zouma have been solid. Up the Chels ? 

I start to wonder just how bad Pulisic must look in training if this version of Pedro is ahead of him in the pecking order.

Also, Azpilicueta is so poor at crossing, he literally needs ten attempts to get one right, it's infuriating.

Maybe refs should also get bans when they miss obvious dangerous tackles, or treat them less seriously than they should......with VAR what excuse do they now have for such negligence?

Willian, Kova, Tomori played really well. The rest is decent. Pedro is shaking off his cobwebs, not on the same wavelength.

This pace suits our team. With this amount of space, Kova has ran rings around the Valencia midfield this half.

Gutted for Mason, game understandably went a bit flat after he had to come off injured.

Honest to f**king god. It doesn’t matter if it’s intention. It’s wreckless and dangerous. I’d expect better from Eidur as a pundit to be able to acknowledge that. As an attacker he should know how dangerous going that high can be.

Zouma doesn't inspire confidence and it might be effecting the players around him. I hope he proves me wrong but I think his chance will be gone when Rudiger and James are fit.

First of that tackle on Mount must be a red card. He could easily break his ankle. 

We are playing some dynamic football and I like it, we just need to be more creative, more of Kovacic breaking passes, more of Willian's moves with the ball. 

Tammy is on fire all he needs is the ball, play on him and let Pedro come from behind. 

Defence little shaky sometimes, this must be improved. Tomori very impressed me.

Its not a red because he only had eyes for the ball. He cleared the ball and kicked mount on the follow through.. Feel bad for mount though just when he was begining to make us forget about hazard.

We're doing ok but by crikey we look a bit toothless bar a couple of individual moments from Willian. Big step up from Wolves, that's for sure.

Don't agree. That's a fairly standard way of making a bad challenge that most refs would be aware of, especially if they've played the game.

Unfortunate injury but he kicked the ball and mount was in the way of his follow through, you can't red for that
