He looks disinterested to me. And despite the assist he was otherwise as poor as any.

He assisted the winning goal, got in a couple of good positions and was significantly more involved than Rom, in a much shorter time on the pitch.

A clear improvement on the big lump

He was only on the pitch a matter of seconds and he got behind the entire Plymouth defence.

Kai was better than Werner but that wasn't difficult. At the moment all of our attacking options look pretty dire, and it makes you wonder whether it is the system at fault. Or have we really just wasted the better part of 250m on rubbish?

He did ok got the assist for the winner but ladies & gents this is Plymouth Argyle from league 1 today so surely players of his caliber should do more than ok. Same for most of the players today no heart no grit no commitment to Chelsea FC while trousering hundreds of thousands monthly.

Yet to see his 'generational talent'...not sure where that term came from in football? Truly exceptional players though can grab a game by the scruff of the neck and dominate. Kai at present is not anywhere near that level, compare him to say Gazza and there is a world of difference with the former being able to drink him under the table too.

He's one of the best German talents in the recent years. He won individual awards as a youth player, was in the Bundesliga team of the year and also Europa League team of the year before we bought him.

But it's a lot different when you build the team around him, like Leverkusen that gave him all the time and space to succeed, that made us buy him but so far most of the time here he's used as a filler wherever is needed. A young player like that needs to be managed well, it's not like Messi was played all over the place and used as a sub as a 22 year old whenever someone else wasn't available, no he had his spot and just got better and better. That's how you make a talent to reach his potential but we bought Lukaku instead so it's safe to say that the setup isn't ideal for such a talent as Kai Havertz is.

After all said and done he showed last season in the CL that he could outplay Real Madrid and he did win us the CL title, can't think of anyone else except Messi that scored in the CL final being in the starting lineup that young...

I know all that Gol,sooner or later though he does have to come to the party and show his talent consistently. I wonder what the narrative would be if Ederson hadn’t made a dogs dinner with his decision making in the CL final. Fine margins but he can’t dine out on that goal forever.

I personally think Covid has affected both Werner and Havertz a lot more than is let on. They don't seem to be fully fit. Hopefully that is in the past and they can kick on. Havertz more so.

As someone who has had the symptomatic version of it it really does affected the lungs and breathing therefore.

Not making excuse for them but like CHO and his ACL injury they may never reach the heights they could of now.

Secret weapon time, he's done well in his previous finals for us a goal in the UCL and an assist in the Super Cup.

Big game player, I hope he starts and runs the show in attack again.

"Kai Havertz for Chelsea in the Club World Cup finals" I can already hear the commentator 😂
