I'll tell you the solution, it's about 6 or 7 new signings costing over 400 million quid. Trying to turn this squad into a title winning side is akin to alchemy. It's only our bias and fantasies that make us think it's just a formation change or some confidence that is missing. It's top players we're well short of.

He's shown a lot of tactical naivety today which odd since he was completely on point in the game against spurs.

Kovacic is twice the player now.

He’s not played as one anymore. That’s the problem. It works against big teams because there’s space. Against lower league teams he’s f**king awful in this position/role. He’s not got the technique or attacking instincts. Similarly, I like Jorginho but I still think he struggles with his lack of physicality when teams get in and around him.

After the Arsenal game I hope we go back to the Jorginho-Kovacic midfield again. 

We need some hard men leaders back in our team, play a different game. Rough them up with some long balls into the box. Miss the days of Ballack, Drogba, Terry, etc. Nobody like them these days. ?

Lost 4 of the last 5 PL games against ordinary opposition, and 3 of those losses are at home.

Very worrying trend.

The cherry on top would be to lose to Arsenal

It f**king infuriates me how we can play so well and every looks incredibly up for it against Spurs to then come out and put out a f**king disgraceful performance like this. Has their keeper had a single difficult save to make?! It’s shambolic.

Nope. Starting a back 3 with 2 wing backs who are poor and awful respectively going forward was a mistake. 

Subs have made no difference and at 0-2 he has accepted defeat.

It’s not a good score line. The tactics didn’t work today. But apart from the top 3 clubs every team is having inconsistent results like this, win one or two then a surprise loss(es). Still in the top 4, obviously some players didn’t show up today and some players aren’t good enough for this division. Disappointing yes but not enough  to merit a full scale meltdown on here. And let’s give credit to the Saints who have out pressed and out played Chelsea today .

No plan b to deep defending and counter. Easy to beat us. Saints have not broken a sweat.
