The second chance?, that's no clear cut chance, I wouldn't have no confidence in Abraham or Giroud scoring that, Abraham has missed plenty of better chances than that. You can't be putting the game down to one chance like that, we was sh*t and that's end off. I dont entirely blame Lampard as his options are limited, he wanted a striker and got no one.

The ball that was cut back to him by Mount on 25 minutes should have been a goal. That is a strikers dream.

Football is a very simple game, score goals and defend well. We do neither. Yes we had some poor officiating decisions tonight but ultimately we lack quality at both ends of the pitch. Frank though has to be questioned on why he continues to start Bats in front of Giroud , who at least puts in a physical effort. Overall this was a very bad result and European football at the Bridge next year could be taken out of our grasp and with it much needed strengthening.

Our goals was really what was keeping up afloat earlier in the season, the moment they started drying up, the team has gone down hill

You’re at the game, I’ve got my orange t-shirt on to celebrate and Spotify decided to stick Valerie by The Zutons on just as I was getting to the train station. All signs of a 6-0 win for me.

Edit: A song that I use to listen to religiously on my drive up from Pompey when Uncle Avram was manager just came on too. The only day I didn’t listen to it was the CL final day because the work to the pub was too short and it wasn’t on the jukey :laugh2:

@Valerie is banned, the t-shirt is being burnt and music is no longer to be listened to.

Unfortunately it looks like we’re on a downward spiral. Lampard and team look void of belief and positivity. I can’t really see a way out of it.

Fred taking the ball off Jorginho.......... again.
I give up on this one. He offers nothing and seems to get away with it.

Don't get me wrong there was lots of sh*te performances tonight but the one player who seems to be Mr Tefal is Jorginho. Batshuayi sh*te and pasted for it. Christensen f**ked up for the goal after getting a smack in the gob and gets pasted for it. Kante got pasted 5 minutes into the game!

Jorginho offers nothing for 90 minutes. Not a peep.

He need rid of him in the summer. We have a big overhaul job to do and he is one of many that need shipped. We will at least get some money for him.

The hurtful truth is that we have an out-of-his depth manager and players that are not Chelsea quality.  This season will end in dissapointment.

Any other manager apart from Frank would have been sacked by now

Oh for f**ks sake - we're 4th in the league.  Get a fucing grip.  Sacked by now!

Infuriating.

1) Maguire should have been sent off for the kick out, how is that different from what happened with Son?

2) The 'push' from Azpi is only a push due to Fred pushing him. Clearly visible on VAR, once agin getting it wrong.

3) Can have no complaints with the offside.

4) Utd's second, why is Maguire even still on the pitch.

5) Christensen and Pedro should never play for us again, both absolutely shocking every time they're on the pitch.

6) Why is the ref stopping play at the end of the game for De Gea? A clear time wasting tactic and not a head injury.

Another frustrating loss to Utd when we absolutely dominate the game.

In summary, f**k VAR off until we can get competent people to use it. Inconsistency by a ref is fine, inconsistency with VAR is infuriating.

I agree with all of that except for the bit about Pedro.  I thought he did OK tonight.   Oddly, my man Willian let me down a bit tonight.

His not left footed, Abraham wouldn't score that.

See i actually thought Willian wasn't shocking except his corners.

Pedro is too slow to get behind his man now and isn't creative, giving it away on the edge of our box instead of a simple pass then giving away his freekick summed up his game for me.

I don't feel too bad when we lose,  but games like this when VAR fails to make the obvious correct calls and puts the whole game into disrepute leaves a nasty vile sour taste in the mouth. All the pundits are calling the maguire tackle a red card, every single one, except VAR.

Since our arse end seems to have fallen out in last few games and with numerous teams just below us eyeing 4th slot and

with the man city mess brought into the equation 5th place is looking like a CL doorway .

two wins on the bounce and cfc will be looking a tad more Healthy and more calm CL vibes on here untill the next defeat .

frank has to put out a team to beat Spurs at the weekend just to help keep them at arms length ,unlike tonight where the mancs are stepping all over our toes now .

Decisions went against us today but even so all things considered we were poor. Need to pick ourselves up and come back strong against Spuds. This hursts but losing on Saturday ... f**k that.

Scholes says McGuire shouldn’t be in the pitch

Everybody says he shouldn't have been on the pitch.....apart from the VAR guys. Why can't these pundits just say it as it is? These people in charge are either the most stupid people that watch football, or they are bent. I just can't accept that they can look at these decisions and come to the conclusion they have come to.

We have very little end product and a very shaky defense. Which are the two things that matter most in this game. Var ruined us tonight but we are lacking quality in the most important areas in the game.

Couple of other thoughts: if you’re gonna be THAT negative about the lineup as most were, surely you have to be a bit less negative about the result? Aside from the Batshuayi selection, the team pretty much selected itself given our injuries to key players. We’re a thin squad for reasons beyond Lampard’s control. Furthermore we had two forced substitutions and two disallowed goals go against us. As was said above, it just wasn’t our day. And seriously - some of you need to have a think, count to 10, watch the game (Ok not a pretty sight for a lot of tonight)... or something before you post.

Not shocking but gave it away more than I would have hoped.  Pedro did a lot of the hard graft, shame his only outlet for most of the match was MIchy, who was just sh*te.

Yeah really not sure how Michy didn't finish that pull back from Mount, strikers wet dream.
