Exactly. He'll play every week and they play a style that suits his strengths.

Farke is Tuchel's former coaching team member and as I remember Norwich wont change their style to a negative one even no matter they face Burnley or City. Really hope he becomes their main player in that midfield.

Can never get my head round why some feel we always have to send a hugely talented youngster out on loan like it's some unwritten law.

Perhaps we should approach Dortmund to see if we can take Bellingham on loan. Or perhaps ask Barcelona to send Pedri over for a year.

If they're good enough, they should play. Age shouldn't even be a question. Ever.

Spot on Just.

Look at Foden at City. A loan would have been easy option and at times he must have been frustrated but he has worked with Pep all the way through and now they will reap the benefits.

Would much rather Billy stayed with the squad and got rotated. If it does turn out to be Norwich at least I might get to see him as Carrow Road is only 5 miles from where I am!

Foden is an interesting comparision as up until recently there was also conspiracy theories doing the rounds that Pep was sabotaging his career just because.

Yeah, conspiracy theorists - don't you just love them! I think Pep probably knows best.

Absolutely ridiculous we are loaning him out, and to a team that will definitely be fighting relegation the entire season. I look forward to around Christmas when we are decrying the lack of attacking impetus from midfield and wishing we had someone we could bring into the team, maybe a young player who has shown he can handle this level and has an impact at both ends of the pitch.

Rather we sent them the pointy sideways passer....

Personally, I would rather he stayed and played next season, but if he is going out on loan, he should be going somewhere much better than Norwich. No disrespect, but they are a newly promoted team, their only ambition next season will be to fight off relegation. I feel that Gilmour is well above that level and is already good enough to play in Europe.

Did he nick your wife or something?

Jorginho is certainly a lot better now then he was in his first season at the club and back then you were an avid of him.

Don't see the issue with Gilmour going to Norwich. Nailed on starter and should get a full season of games under his belt which can only do him a world of good.

They play good football though, it's not like they'd park the bus every game like Burnley. He'll most likely be their replacement for Buendia

I would ponder the question of how well Jorginho would do playing in the Norwich line-up all season and how that might possibly better him as a more well rounded footballer.

But I won't ponder it for long because I know the answer. I think you do too.

He'd be their best and most important player by a mile. Is that what you are thinking about?

my only problem with this loan is that he might end up like Ampadu.. 2 years ago he was a big bet for our future.. then got lost in Germany and then at Sheff Utd. Currently he is a million miles away.

In most probability the club will buy a mid fielder and when he comes back there would be another expensive star signed for him to compete.

Perhaps he is the long term Jorginho replacement. We definitely need another central midfielder, can’t be relying on Kovacic, Kante and Jorginho all season.

and hence why send him out on loan.. unless we are buying a different profile to Jorginho..

Excellent move under a manager who plays a style suited to his skillset.

Hopefully he can put what he's learned from our CL and possibly Euro 2020 winning central midfielder into practice on a week by week basis.

Yes quite - it's like these kids haven't heard the word of Tommy Doc: "if you're good enough, you're old enough".

Plus it's not like our cup runneth over with quality centre mid options...

Oh but wouldn't it be an interesting experiment? Norwich with Jorginho brought in to bring the best out of the likes of Lukas Rupp and Todd Cantwell. 🤔

As Delia after a few Sherries would say "let's be havin ya, ya recycling regista"
