August 10, 20223 yr I don't think he will start against Spurs because of experience but if Havertz drops another disasterclass Broja needs to start
August 13, 20223 yr Imagine trying to keep him all summer only to bring him on to play him on the left wing.

I wouldn't want Broja to have the responsibility of being involved in the build up. Better off having that Werner role where he runs off the shoulder.
August 13, 20223 yr Boom or bust for Broja, this is the season he's been waiting for, time to step up and find the next level, a lot of pressure on him, Tuchel will be relying on him to score heavily, anything around 20 goals (all comps) will be a good start. I think he will be a huge success for us, he's a proper finisher, this is his first chance to play in a team with high possession for an hour every game, he will get chances, he needs to make some himself, just by being in the right position at the right time, something Lukaku was incapable of. Good luck Armando, go for it my son !

August 13, 20223 yr He isn't fit to start according to Tuchel. However, I do expect him to dismantle Havertz at LF inevitably.

Good. This was primarily the reason he wanted to leave in the first place. If he's going to be playing for us he deserves more than the reported 6K a week he earns.

You'd hope he'd be chomping at the bit to prove himself and be giving absolutely everything in the time he has on the pitch but his intensity didn't match the starters yesterday which was disappointing. August 15, 20223 yr Broja has all the qualities to become a top striker in years to come…hold up play, pace to burn, good movement, strength and finishing. Remember he’s only 20. Havertz for all his technical ability is not a goal scorer and cant play off the shoulder of defenders. Would like to see Broja play backup to a proven striker along with some starts this season. We defo need a striker if were going to compete weve been struggling for goals for some time now.
August 15, 20223 yr Author @HazardousChoice Not my recollection when he came on at 90mins and chased down the defenders, yet a striker normally can only make so many sprints before he needs a break. Can't recall him getting any passes in their half. Don't think you can judge him in 6 mins. Edited August 15, 20223 yr by strider6004

Hoe anyone cam claim he was lazy is beyond me.

Now now let's encourage @HazardousChoice in his growth here guys. He is not simply hating on Pulisic anymore, he is on Broja now so is at least not simply an American thing anymore. Lol.
August 15, 20223 yr Its annoying because from Everton and Spurs you could see raw speed and talent from his cameos. Can't wait until he starts getting more game time. This is a genuine first that I can't wait until we have more than one fixture a week. Going to bite me in the arse no doubt.

Maybe TT will give him a start over Havertz vs Leeds...

When you've got such little time there's no excuse for not putting all your energy into it. He wasn't pressing well when he came on, there was one particular period where Spurs defenders were passing it around I think it was Romero to Dier with Broja lazily ambling around and not pressing with intensity. As the freshest legs on the pitch he should have been leading the press so it was really disappointing to see. Edited August 15, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

August 15, 20223 yr Are we seriously judging him on 6 minutes of play at the end of the game for his work off the ball ?
