Thankyou for this, us fans ain’t f**king stupid, we know what we see, and we were mostly poor last season🤔

We were good in the first 12 games, fell apart after Chilwell got injured and unbearable to watch by the end of February. It's amazing how quickly people forget games where Stamford Bridge was almost silent because they had to watched the same sh*t recycled passing for 30 minutes before we registered a single worthwhile shot on goal. If that happens again this season, then I wouldn't blame fans for not turning up at all.

The Lukaku getting 90 minutes period was horrible granted but after finally being dropped there was some very good performances admittedly with some bad ones thrown in.

Burnley away, Real away (second half at home too), Liverpool in the LC final, Lillie home, Saints away, United away (finishing let us down but we created a lot of chances and had a good game else), Leeds away. Yes it needs to happen more but the one thing all those games bar Leeds had in common is that Kai was false 9, hopefully we learn from last season's error and go into the season with him first choice there.

Yes indeed, and the thread is about potentially letting go a probable gem,(I’m only quoting) short termism for a few quid, I hope West Ham don’t allow a buy back clause, they only show we might be making a cock up, un less TT is going to play Sterling in the Strikers role, but the way we play, and teams playing the absolute ‘low block’ which just sees possession recycled, till the defenders collapse with dizziness in a boring sh*tfest..

At least with the constant recycling of possession, you have time to nip to the fridge for a top up without missing anything.

It wasn't just Chilwell though. We literally lost James and basically our entire midfield as well for a two-three month period and that's when everything turned to sh*t. We were absolutely flying until Chilwell got injured against Juventus and as soon as that happened we literally knew (and wrote) in the match-day thread that this was going to ruin our season if Chilwells injury was serious.

Without the wingbacks the current system turns to sh*t, I don't think there is any doubt about that. Throw in a midfield crisis as well and you get what you expect.

Not too far from the truth there. I'm pretty sure some of Todds team trawl through the fans forums and listen in on the social media platforms, to gauge the fans views and feelings.

I agree. I thought that we were shaping up well, not the finished article but progressing. Lukaku then had his moment and for me that seemed to upset the momentum and set the tone for the east of the season.  Players who were rrying to rebuild confidence slipped back again and the football became more and more sterile with the occasional high point.

Putting it down to the sanctions is an easy way out. TT is now building his team so I have high hopes this year, but before challenging for anything I am desperate to see some palatable entertaining football.

I mean I hope Tuchel is being serious and not just saying this for ulterior motive because sending him out on loan or transfer without having bought one in does not show a good message and generally speaking, although he had a difficult second half of season, I would say his loan was a success when you consider he went from a back up player for Southampton to an undisputed starter and all the calibre of his goals last season were of highest quality.

Assuming Ziyech gets sold we will have Timo and Pulisic on the LW and Raheem and CHO on the RW, that really leaves us with Kai and Michy as strikers.

Yes it's not ideal for a young striker to be 3rd striker but I will bet my bottom dollar he beats Michy for selection.

The mind boggles. So we look to be selling our best striker to West Ham.

Ok, he’s young and yet to prove whether  he has what’s needed to be a top striker,  but how on Earth has anyone decided that Werner is better? Havertz has shown enough to suggest he could possibly become a top player, but almost certainly not as a centre forward.

We’d be better keeping Broja and trying to pick up Maxwell Cornet from Burnley for as little as 20 million.

even before the injuries there were games in which we were quite poor - Juve away, Astonvilla come to mind immediately.

Werner and Sterling can play as 9.

That's why i don't get too involved in off season transfer goings on, so much money is on the line this time of year, you literally cannot trust anything anyone says, including the gaffer, why should he show his hand to us ? are we entitled to know ?

As I said they are likely to be first choice wingers

My point is if kai is not available, playing Borja is not a must. Tuchel can always play

Werner/Puli/cho - Sterling - Mount

Or

Sterling - Werner - Mount
