I am not watching the bbc -as currently overseas. But my mates in the uk said that the bbc showed a replay of the handball and that it was in the box? Can anyone confirm?

They showed a video replay and at the point they paused it, it was on the line.

Think Arteta had the better tactics.

Our goal was good yet with just three attackers and the GK coming out so comfortably to stop our press we were struggling to create a second chance.

Down our Right they were attacking and finding space both Maitland-Nile and then Aubameyang for the penalty not sure why we were weak there.

The second was a clever run by Bellerin which was not stopped by our MFs and Christensen committed himself and stopped Bellerin only for it to fall to an Arsenal player. and Auba fiinishes with aplomb.

Injuries hurt us, the Ref could have given us a couple of fouls and reviewed other incidents yet for me today Arsenal were better.

Sad to see Pedro carried off in last performance for us.

Nice, balanced review

I said it earlier. The club needs to do something about this. Take a stand and demand the game is replayed with a new ref.

that will never happen.. most of the media will call us cry babies.. Lodge a protest against his performance if a channel exists.. and move on.. hope the ref gets demoted to officiating Sunday league games

I am often baffled how some of the refs in this country get their jobs. How can a ref ever be trusted to take charge of a high profile game when so many question marks hang over him? This is the same ref that missed a clear handball by Sanchez in the final the last time we went up against Arsenal, a handball that was basically an assist for Arsenal's first goal in that game. The same ref that gave Alonso a yellow card after being hit by a flying kung fu kick by Hugo Lloris. You don't have to be a qualified ref to get these decisions right, but he is qualified (somehow) and he got both of them wrong.

What makes it worse is that the players and coaches aren't even allowed to comment on these things without getting into trouble. Why is there so much protection for them? They even have VAR and they can't even get that sh*t right. The standard of officiating in English football stinks, and it has done for years without any sign that things will improve. No other sport seems to have as much of a problem with it as football has.

Anthony Taylor should never be officiating another high profile game again, but he will be back on the first day of the season in charge of a Premier League game.....how is that right? The guy can give out a second yellow card for foul that wasn't a foul and completely ruin the biggest game of football in England, and he can carry on like normal in the next round of fixures. It's complete bullsh*t.

depends because after catching the ball he does go inside the box... so you can find a replay to suit a negative.. but when he makes first contact is what you look for.

That doesn't mean sh*t if he carried it over the line after wards, did they play through the whole thing?

Watching the replay. what rotten luck for Pulisic's hamstring to go just as he was about to shoot ... credit to him that he even got a shot away .... if it doesn't go, then he probably scores ....

His hamstring went two/three steps before he shot, what a f**king hero for getting his shot away!

That should have happened after his appalling displays at Tottenham and in the home loss to Manure. He has always been a disgrace of a ref.

"Yet this will be the second time that Taylor takes charge of the final, due to the fact that, with the game behind closed doors, the FA felt it would be unfair for a new referee to officiate without their family and friends present."

Don't bother getting a decent Prem ref then.

That changes everything, we understand totally.

"We started well for 10-15 minutes and we can only blame ourselves form that point. We got complacent, we took time on the ball like it was a stroll and we allowed them into the game. It's hard to get back into the game then. A lot of today is on us.

"All I can do form the sidelines is shout! There are elements in our game that we have worked hard on all year but that is in you as a group. Today we were slow, we played back on ourselves, invited pressure. We didn't play well enough to win a final.

"I'm not even thinking about next week, it all came together for us today, two hamstrings, a dislocated shoulder. It's the end of a long long season and it was the tipping point for us."

Disastrous game.

We didn't play well overall, totally lost control of a game we were in charge of.

Bad injuries to influential players, the Pulisic one took away our attacking threat

Rudiger is a bad defender and today at least he can't hide under the radar

Pedro showed in the final moments why he has in the past been a serial winner, very unlucky to get injured but his effort showed some of our younger players what is needed

and then there was Anthony Taylor...

Very diplomatic. Sadly he stuck with picking a winning team again and, like Liverpool, we lost a big game.

Easy to say in hindsight but clearly we would have been better off with a back 4 and Kante in midfield.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Our high press gave enough space for Arsenal to score 2 goals.

All the EPL owners need to take action on this for it to get better.

All ref performances must be reviewed weekly.

- A ref that is performing poorly with many mistakes will receive a report summarizing their mistakes, along with a warning

- Perform poorly again with many mistakes in the game, they will receive a suspension without pay.

- Perform poorly a third time, and they will lose their jobs

You want HIGH standards, you must demand ACCOUNTABILITY.

If we had better and much faster backline, we'd be able to live with that playing tactic. Unfortunately, our defence is both slow and incompetent.

Too true. We did not have the luck today. Beautiful team goal for Pulisic has to be said.
