It's really not Ruben's game today

So in the absence of Barkley I see Ruben has become the main focal point for criticism on here. Presumably if he gets subbed off he can pass that over to CHO or Reece.

Yet again RLC flatters to deceive.  This guy has delivered so little on his apparent potential so far. I'm gutted about it cos I really want him to boss our midfield but I'm now getting to think maybe that potential has dissipated now

Brighton have been the better team here, we are fortunate to be ahead. 

Feel for Lallana, he can’t catch a break with injuries.

Werner and Pulisic attacking with speed will be FIREWORKS!!!

RLC is the wrong man for the job.

Ruben needs to come off soon. Get CHO on and get him on the right and put Kai in the middle

Because he's in the center, Havertz can't get the ball thus rendering Havertz useless too.

 

Any updates on when we can expect him to reach 10% of his pre-injury form? Currently on about 2%.

He's obviously done something in training to earn his spot. 

He's not at it though today. I'd personally keep him out there and see if he can find it. 

Ruben is just that tall dude in the class that tries to hide in plain sight.

Many players never fully recover from the injury he had. He was in great form before that I remember. Makes me so angry every time I think of that ridiculous friendly game.

He’s being criticised because he’s having a terrible game.

I'm a big Loftus-Cheek fan, but we aren't just going to say nothing when he's having a poor game. You can't deny that his passing has been really poor so far.

With all the talent we have in the attacking midfield area, RLC can't afford to have games like this.

Yes. I just prefer to get behind the team.

Neither RLC or Havertz up to the pace of the game. Would replace both in second half.

Very impressed with Lamptey.

Ruben is a player with so much potential yet seems like so little desire when he’s on the pitch. 
 

I was far more excited about Ruben than our other young stars but my hope is wearing thin. 

I was a fan if RLC but he is almost single handedlybstuffing the team up. Put havertz in the middle. Jorginho passing also well below his best. 

Oh Ruben... .f..g Cheek...That should have been presented on the plate for Werner...
