PSG are not really in the red, they are owned by a country! 

Madrid and Barcelona are paying the price for paying astronomical wages to keep 2 of the greatest players, whilst also spending ridiculous amounts on signings to keep those players content. Now we have the situation with covid, and the redistribution of some of the tv revunue, and both are in a pretty tough situation, especially Barcelona.

Disappointing, but realistically what were his options? Plus he has some close friends there aswell. I think PSG were the only team in for him tbh. 

Maybe now is the time for a cheeky 100m-150m EUR bid for Mbappé, so that PSG can offset the... ah well who cares

All depends on what is most important, the sporting challange or money.

If he really wanted to he could come in line with the top earners at any club, Bayern, Juve, United, City, Us, Liverpool etc none would turn him down and he could keep all or the majority of his image rights and still make bucket loads.

Instead he looks off to a 2 bob league and a club that is not a real club anymore, just funded by a never ending bottomless pit.

I think other clubs didn't bother because they couldn't afford him. It all depends on what your priorities are. Picking PSG is the safest choice. Huge paycheck and and an easy domestic competition. The only real challenge is winning the CL, but what if they keep failing? 

He could have had his pick of top clubs but he chose money over ambition.
