Our defenders need a world class CB beside them because on their own, they are inconsistent.

All 3 of our CMs need a sitting DM beside them. Jorginho is a deep lying playmaker, Kante is a ballwinner and Kova is dribbler. Frank needs to convert Kova into a DM or else we are f*cked.

Reality is we are a CB and a big physical CDM away from a title challenging squad. Whether or not Frank can get them there is another thing.

As much as we are all fond of frank he is out of his depth he took the job far too early, I do think he has the makings of a manager but maybe 5-10 years down the road he will get a second stint and get the results we had hoped for.

Carlo with this squad would win the league

Because he had a choice? Odd comment.

Well yes he did.
willy in goal and Tomori were options. Playing silva was an option despite travel - it is very doable as all other teams Seem to do it!

I like Zouma he can defend and he can score headers and he actually gets into his duties as a defender, Christensen is never seen because that's how little impact he has, he has been hiding behind JT's back his whole career and he has never stepped up as a new clear CB starter. People that come in and have weeks to settle in play better than Christensen that has been our "young talent" for years...

I like Zouma too. He's a whole-hearted player who does sometimes do well. But he isn't reliable. He always has a gaff in him. That's fine when you're playing for Stoke or a mid-table Everton and the sad truth is that is his level. He is not an elite defender, no matter who is playing alongside him.

I have said this before, put Casemiro and Kante as our DMs and our defense still lets in high amount of goals. Even if we buy Rice it won't change as long as we have Christensen and Kepa playing, it's that simple.

I think we will see RJ in that role soon .. every clearance also lands on their feet because Kante and Jorginho press too high with the team.. I know lamps wants a high pressing team.. but it’s not working .. we need a low block with 2 sitting and start playing more counter attacking..

This was a very bad deffensive game. If we had Thiago Silva, this would never have happend. As someone else sayd earlier Zouma & Christensen togethor is not a strong matcup. The midfield deffensive players should protect our deffensive more, totally agreed on that.
And FRANK LAMPARD, why the f**k dont you throw this useless goalie away? He looses matches by himself. Doing the same type of mistakes over and over again.
Lampard must straighten up the deffenders. ANd on set pieces the second ball needs to be won, either way... if its shooting it out to throwin or over to the other half.
Thats what KEPA should have done, kicked the f****** ball to throwin, not go down like a fagot. Im so fed up with this Kepa situation that im getting stomach ache.

Kepa & the defenders is an abomination.
WHY did not SILVA start? Many of other brazilian players started. Is there something wrong with Super Frankie`s management of the players? Or is he just stubborn?

Dear God. Fix this situation in Chelsea, before its too late.

Have a great weekend yall, and God bless.

He isn't elite but he has been good for us overall, we can count on him IMO.

It’s clear you like Zouma, I think you might actually be his mum or dad. Your arguments all afternoon have made absolutely no sense whatsoever. The John Terry comment is a great example - he’s been gone 3 years - you’re just waffling utter sh*te to justify slating Christensen so you can deflect from Zouma.

You can dislike Christensen all you want as a player, but you’re picking the wrong game to harp on about it.

Carlo! Now you are talking! The football we played during the double winning season was superb!

Vestergaard scored the 3-3 by deflecting Walcots shot so I don't know how much Kepa can really be blamed for it.

When the ball came throu the area it was like it was in slow motion and it ended up in back of our net and kepa was no where near it > the fact that kepa was no where near getting his hand onto what seemed to me a shot lacking pace is what that gets my goat > iam Even allowing for that bounce that the ball took > but no matter what mistakes are played out by the idiots infront of kepa he is the last line of defence for a reason > GOAL KEEPER > when you look at the 2nd goal for the saints you have to Ask what was kepa doing on his knees hence rooted to the pitch > which he did at the very end of the game but got away with it with panic station bells ringing all over the chelsea penalty area and all our front rooms watching it unfold .

That result will do a lot of damage to this team.. all the gains of the palace win are thrown away.. not happy at all with the situation.. we are official the new Arsenal.. pretty football but come time to buckle down we are weak.

Every time Christensen plays we defend like sh*t. It's very evident that he NEVER grew as a player, he's still that same 21 year old talent, same body same mentality. He didn't get any better with years and years of being here.

Other players look worse around him, when he got sent off we defended with 10 men better than when he plays for 90 minutes.

Well we clearly can't count on him 'cos he f**ked up today and it happens all far too often.

Thankfully we have Mendy to replace Kepa and I don't expect to see Kepa ever play for us again. But if you think Christensen is the problem and playing Zouma every week means everything will be just dandy you are going to be VERY disappointed!

Chilwell got booked for what looked like his first challenge where Kante had already made a few dodgy challenges without a booking.

First half we looked good, even Kepa made a decent save.

Nice to finally see Werner click up front.

I missed the goal we conceded before half time which y'all seem to think was on Havertz.

2-1 made it very different from going in at 2-0.

Hassenhalt changed somethingtihng for the second, Chilwell though excellent in the first half had his distribution cut out and then they played that ball over Zouma and had him turning and giving a dodgy ball back to Kepa which gave the Saints an equaliser.

We hit back gain with good forward play though missed the last 20 mins, my ill Dad needed some support.

A bad day for us and my take is without Mendy and Silva, we need to have patience. Judge Frank after several matches where he has this and see if we still concede sloppy goals.

Not sure why Pulisic was on the Right so much.

That second half was an abomination.

We looked great for most of the first half, until that ludicrous error from Havertz after which we lost our balls.

I will express myself further after more liquor.

I look forward to your expressions, after I have a few more drinks of whiskey myself.

If you want to have this argument that we need to replace both Zouma and Christensen for the better future, I'm ok with it.

2 points thrown away today.

We defend like a mid table championship team that buckle under the slightest bit of pressure.

Sort of like Derby a couple of years ago

We just need stability and organization.

Towards the end there we had 3 playmakers, 1 ball winner, 1 winger and a striker with 5 minutes to go.

The tallest ones were Tammy and Havertz yet we keep launching balls upfield.. Dumb decision making.

This is Kepa's last straw for me. Kepa dallies on the ball to start play, lacks any kind of "balls" to claim loose balls, doesn't strike fear into the opposing team at all, always slow to react, dives like a little girl (zero explosiveness, zero arm strength) and is sh*t with the ball at his feet. Just bin him already. The issue is he is 10cms short to play the big man GK role but doesn't even try to adapt to becoming a la Casillas or prime De Gea.

Pulisic was on the right because lampards SON had to play on the left

Seems like people love blaming Kepa and others more than Lampard

Well, yeah. They are ones making mistakes no professional player at this level should be making. Nobody is saying Lampard is without fault, but when you see the sh*t our defenders produce, obviously people will be pointing the finger at them more than Lampard.

Kepa has to be the worst keeper implying his trade for a top team.. he can’t stop goals..

Lamps needs to go back to the drawing board .. too many goals being conceded..

can we catch a break with injuries please!

As true as this undoubtedly is this is a stunning indictment of the quality or lack of in our side. Both players have only played a couple of games each and already we miss them significantly when they are out.
