Gol I’m actually not counting out Kai at all. My comment is much more an endorsement of Kova (playing better than ever) than a criticism of Kai. We have an embarrassment of riches now as you have been saying too. On current evidence, Kova deserves to start.

He might just be struggling with lingering effects of COVID. Came out second half and looked miles better.

Eventually he will have a good periode where those sitters are goals. The big positive is that Timo finds a way to either get a goal or an assist in most games, wich comes from his own creativity (usually his pace).

Agree and in fact it's quite the opposite actually. If Tammy missed as many chances as Timo he would get slaughtered by our "fans".

Does he really get a pass though? He has been heavily criticized, especially after the Spurs game. I've said it before, but we still don't have a clinical striker. Some of the chances our strikers miss are mind boggling. 

Great day. The past month or so you can definitively see the changing of the Blue guard has taken place from what was a 5+ year era of Hazard-Pedro-Willian-striker of the month to this new young talented group, except Giroud and Silva (lol). Last year was a good transition year, but now with the additions, we are starting to find the chemistry that is needed and all the youth gives us incredible pace and open play going forward.

We are really starting to find depth, two deep at most positions , that gives us interchangeable parts for different matchups and Europe vs Domestic play.

This group is fun to watch and it gets better and better. Absolutely love this team. 

Not to take away anything from the talent that was Hazard, the constant effort from Willian, the style of play now is so much better with the quickness and movement. In prior years, games like this would break down to Hazard on edge of the penalty box holding, walking, holding, holding, passing around the top, Willian holding, holding, passing back around the top, killing minutes trying to find a break through, etc.

Come on you Chelsea!!

If I missed that chance in the first 10 minutes that he did, I would've been sobbing my heart out. Fair play to him because despite missing those chances he's still playing well and giving it his all.

Well it certainly isn’t helping his confidence is it 

Good result, not our best performance.  Leeds caused us some issues positionally, and we compounded the challenge by missing some simple chances.  Chilwell excellent again, but standout for has to be Silva.  Just class in every sense, although someone earlier said "Silva is mustard", and I'm going with that.

Reece strong as ever, and Kante's mobility won't get called out but he was everywhere again limiting space.

Kai is quietly growing in influence - this game should be a good lesson for him.  Timo - not going to focus on the missed chances, but admire the perseverance to make the run and provide the cross to put the game to bed.  Could do with some goals though.

Ha ha, well if I missed it I would have shrugged and walked of completely unsurprised that I missed another ha ha....scoring was not my forte.

Pleased with the win. We fought back well. Some good chances created, but unfortunately not taken.

Always good to beat  Leeds.

 

Werner can miss all day long as long as we bag the 3 points, he’s assisting what more can one request from a wide player ? Top of the league after a splendid performance in a superb game. Credit to filthy dirty Leeds they showed up but were outclassed and outplayed today. Squad depth is really shining through with most players playing above their game rather than the opposite. So pleased for the lucky 2000 today !

Tonight’s match (I could only watch the second half) and our third goal in particular only reinforce my view that Werner, far from being played out of position, is a born winger. An Overmars type player no?

Key moment of the game, Kante makes a great run we win a corner and Mount delivers a great ball for the 4th PL goal of Zouma this season. This is why I might just change my mind and see Kante as the MoTM.

Imagine if we got him the time PSG did, it was rumoured after he was leaving AC... What a player he is, at his age to be playing the way he is. 

Can't believe this bloke wasted all his ability in Ligue 1, he was good enough to be playing for the worlds best teams.

I love a CB who can defend, its weirdly sneered at now by some fans. His positioning and timing is astoundingly good, he's just magnificent to watch.

Missing chances seems to fire him up, like he feels he needs to make up for it. It's something both Morata and Torres lacked.

Wahey...a win over dirty leeds and top of the PL (for the night at least). Only negatives were the amount of chances missed - should have thrashed them and Ziyech’s injury. 
Also, it’s encouraging that we’ve fallen behind in a couple of games and come back to win. Fans were awesome inside the ground too.

finally, a big fcuk you to sky’s commentary of the game - up leeds’ arse and willing them to score all night.
