What I would do to go back to having players like an Essien or Fabregas. We really should have tried to go for Partey and Aouar when we had the chance

January 3, 20215 yr 0-100% in possession last 5 minutes? We have given up. Edited January 3, 20215 yr by Sindre
January 3, 20215 yr 7 minutes ago, Slojo said: I specifically said salvage though. That means temporary, what are our chances right now of getting top 4 under Frank currently? f**king nitto I say. But a caretaker manager we could actually salvage something, we've done it before a few times at this club and its worked. Then in the summer we press on for a good manager to take us somewhere. If we stick with Frank the likelihood is we are finshing midtable at best. Where we disagree is that I think it's impossible a caretaker gets us top 4. So from that position, we have to disagree on the approach. If I thought there was a chance Benitez (that's the caretaker folks!) got us top 4, then I'd be all for it.
January 3, 20215 yr As Tyler just said, City are toying with us. So many options and yet we haven't even troubled their rookie keeper. Frank, make some changes FFS.
January 3, 20215 yr Where are those driving runs that Kova was doing, Kante Defend ffs, but no he is trying to play like De-Brunye or Gundogan
January 3, 20215 yr I'm not even upset. We have no excuses for this very bad form. I actually hope Lamps is the problem as that would be an easier fix than the squad after all the money invested.
January 3, 20215 yr That was just sublime men against boys here. Still don’t know what our tactics are

January 3, 20215 yr If they stick with lamps they should bring in a mentor for hi. This is ridiculas.
January 3, 20215 yr Would love to see a Chelsea player sprint. Actually just run. they’re walking off the ball. It’s awful

Patience is all well and good if the projected end product is something you want to see but what end product are we building towards here? If the performances were still promising despite the rut I'd keep cool but following us atm feels like a chore and that's not a good thing especially in these times. Same here Argo, Football is a fickle game. But these performances are a disgrace, there's nothing good coming out of them, nothing salvagable, we've made a complete u-turn. And the people who kept highlighting how we haven't beat a top 10 side, well I hate to say it, but it looks like they have a point. We can't turn up when it matters, get spanked against any bit of quality. I say it with my chest, he isn't the right man for the job.

That actually is a good option, because if these are 11 sh*t players, Lamps has no hopes anyway...
January 3, 20215 yr I’m actually starting to think fitness at this club is an issue as well. We play at a pace like we are waiting for the last 15 mins to step it up or we are 2 goals behind, whatever comes first. We still play like an European time forced to play matches in the EPL. When was the last time we was on it for anything more than 30 minutes at a time? Leeds match possibly? And we’ve looked burnt out ever since. Edited January 3, 20215 yr by 2211

Of course, I don't know for sure, but what I do think, is that a caretaker at least gives us that chance, or gets us in a better position. For me that's worth it, keeping Frank for the sake of it gets us nowhere if we are already going to replace him anyway.
January 3, 20215 yr Again. Mentality problem. Just walking around. Not fighting for anything. Letting the game pass them by. I think Silva might have a mentality problem too. He had it too easy at PSG, but now he's going through a rough patch the mental strength goes.
