Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

They have the right to be unhappy and it would be kind of surprising if they were happy as attackers at this point in time. Tuchel needs to figure it out, I think it's going to be a busy summer for him.

Yeah he does, and the club needs to figure out how to offload Lukaku.

TT needs to find a way of tweaking the system to get the best out of Havertz and Mount at the same time.

He will also be blessed with reinforcements from the youth loans so long as he does not turn a blind eye to them. Trev has rewarded his faith. If he gives them the same chance Colwill, Broja and Gallagher, IMO, will become major players for us and potentially world class talents.

By credible do you mean copy and pastes what actual journalists write?

well there’s no need to worry then. I’m glad

No system we've tried has got the best out of Havertz. He's a very underwhelming player.

But him as false 9/CF got the best out of the team.

Finishing aside we looked really onto something with the Mount/Kai/Werner front three. With the absence of a suitable forward signing we should have given that trio a chance to evolve further.

Specially when you consider that Kai scored the CL winning goal before turning 22 and also made the assist in the Super Cup. I doubt that we will be able to reach the CL final with Lukaku being in the starting lineup, Pep had a lot more trust and patience for G.Jesus and even after losing Aguero that is among the best strikers the PL has ever had he didn't push for a replacement.

I think it's also our problem because it's hard to fit in both Mount and Havertz as both are primarily AMs, specially since we play 3-4-2-1. The 4-2-3-1 would fit Kai the most but then Mount would need to play as a winger or too deep.

Might not make it past Lille if Lukaku plays those games. David offers vastly more than Rom imo.

I am always confused with this statememt. I kept reading that we look the best this season when we had a run of win without Lukaku.

During that stretch I don't think we have ever used mount, kai, werner combo. I rememeber CHO was kinda the staple with Ziyech.

I meant the back end of last season.

Loan him to Barca! Problem solved.

They can't afford to pay loads of money but at least we get his salary off the books.

Not sure we played that well. Most games that I watched had similar feel to it. We created a few and our opp created a few. Probably good enough for top 4 (depend on the season) but certainly not good enough to win title.

Maybe they wouldn't have been but I also felt it had the potential to grow/evolve. And if it didn't work out as planned then all of a sudden stylistic fits like Diaz and Adeyemi have had breakthrough season's and were potentially available, or Broja if we stick to the traditional CF.

Wonder if he feels let down by the board. Apart from Rom, he’s had no players added in two windows. There wing back situation is pretty dire. Can see why his top choice was Hakimi now

I hope not. No one's moved in this window that I wish we got and generally I'm a bit fatigued by us spending big money on players who flop.

We've got 3 or 4 players that we should be looking at for the first team squad who are on loan. Id actually be fine with us not signing anyone in the summer.

Looking unlikey that any new signings will arrive today.

Will be insteresting to see how Tuchel approaches the remainder of the season. Will he move to playing a back 4, with Sarr at left back, more regularly?

I think the attacking players benefit from having more natural width to play in, whereas the wingback system tends to force them in field.

Tuchel really needs to find a way to get the attacking players doing more. Ziyech looks to have benefited from the recent formation shift, which is closer to what he played in for Ajax.

Maybe some of the others will reap the benefits too. Under Lampard a few of them looked much more threatening in the 4-3-3 formation so maybe we'll see a return to that.

This looks the most probable outcome although the board do love a cheeky deadline day deal smh. I'd be happy for Sarr to remain LB this season and he has come on very well from his earlier performances as left sided cb where even there has improved.

Regarding people speaking about Lukaku I think a lot of us are on the same page but let's at least give him the benefit of the whole season before we completely abandon all hope with him.

I personally would like to see TT play Kai and Werner through the middle in a back 4 with Mount/Ziyech/CHO/Pulisic on the wing. The hybrid 442/4231 he's being using recently. I don't think Lukaku should be starting every game, I think it's only fair the attackers from last season get a run where 4 of them play together something we had all wished to see last season.

Letting Emerson go was a big blunder. A blunder we spent most of January trying to salvage but obviously it didn't work out.

I don't think he'll have much choice but to move to a back four now. He would have loved the opportunity to keep the back three going with Emerson at LWB I think as we've already proved we can win the Champions League with that kind of a system. And that's the big goal now as well as the Top 4.

Disagree about Emerson. He's never been particularly good for Chelsea since he arrived and was never going to get minutes ahead of Chilwell or Alonso.

Personally I'm not disapointed he didn't come back because hopefully Lyon take up the option to sign him come the summer as we really need to offload the amount of average left sided defenders we have on the books.

I think a back 4 is the way forward for the remainder of the season. It gives us the option of playing 3 in midfield including playing Mount or Havertz there which I think is a more aggressive team selection. I also think the attacking players could benefit from the change in formation as I think the wingback system contributed to their struggles.

Clearly he was going to as Tuchel and the club was rather desperate to get him back.

If people don't think Emerson can't serve up better performances then that sh*tshows we've seen from Alonso this season I don't know what to say. He's been brilliant for Lyon and he can actually run.

Could have cost us as much as £5m to bring him back for 6 months and then likely would have lost out on the sale to Lyon at the end of the season for £17m. He's average at best and I can't see that he would improve us in anyway had he returned. I've been frustrated by Alonso since Chilwell's injury but I think Sarr has shown enough promise to see us through the rest of the season.

I think we're better off with Sarr, Kennedy, Alonso playing on the left personally.

We have heard this regularly for years though. Calls for Emerson to come in because "he can't be any worse than Alonso" only for him to then come in and actually be worse.

For all Alonso's faults he atleast has an upside of some substance even if we don't see it close to enough, Emerson is as ordinary as it gets.

I'll take ordinary over diabolical any day of the week. Because everyone will agree that, that is what current Alonso actually is.
