I bought one of our other new training t-shirts which was our 2 star range (now we have won UCL twice) and think I bought one of the last ones before it went out of stock. Very nice.

First of all, let me start by saying I like Tuchel very much and hope he continues to work at the club for a long time. What I wonder about is, does he have much of a pull when it comes to transfers? Do you think players want to join the club when Tuchel comes calling? Seems to be a very personable, humble and charming man who has close relationship with his players and is a winner. And yet time and again, we miss out on high profile targets. You could say it's nothing to do with him, and that may be true but do you have any doubts on the subject of players wanting to come play for Tuchel? I think pep n klopp are considered to be in higher tier by many but tuchel imo is also highly regarded. Not sure it matter very much though. Rapinha like many South American player prefer Barcelona. We had a deal with Kounde, we just didn't want to pay sevilla asking price. Haaland didn't really consider us but even he did, not sure If I were him I will choose Chelsea because of our history especially recent history with no 9.
July 13, 20224 yr Like I said several pages back, Tuchel has not shown anything for me to suggest he has an interest in working/developing our youth players, and that wxe would know his actual intentions in the next few months. Not looking good: More on Chelsea. Levi Colwill, now likely to leave on a permanent deal this summer - as Tuchel and Boehly are working to sign three top centre backs. 🚨🔵 #CFC Chelsea and Levi Colwill will make a decision soon - as Koulibaly deal is done, Kimpembé and Aké in talks. pic.twitter.com/YdxS9d7ymS — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 13, 2022
July 13, 20224 yr Lewi Colwill leaving permanently might be okay if we put in buyback clause. If he stayed he would be backup at a time he needs to play.

No idea why we wouldn't just loan him out again. Tuchel did sell Nkunku from PSG so there is a chance this could happen

If we let Colwill go then it's a backwards step, Tuchel should just admit he won't be playing them. Edited July 13, 20224 yr by dkw

If we let Colwill go then it's a backwards step, Tuchel should just admit he won't be playing them. What is on our side is that Colwill has a 5 year deal currently, and there is a big long list of suitors wanting to bid for him. Realistically with this much demand, we can negotiate something in our favor, such as including a reasonable buy back option.
July 13, 20224 yr If Colwill gets sold it would be the first time I'd question Tuchel's long term future as Chelsea manager. It would be a ridiculously short sighted decision. We would have sold Tomori Guehi and Colwill for peanuts and are about to spend 80m on Koulibaly who's 31 and Nathan Ake who's less talented than any of those three.
July 13, 20224 yr Rumours are TT will tell Broja he is not needed and our plan is to raise between 50 and 60mill from selling him and Colwill towards our transfers in. No word on Gallagher yet he may survive this summer, and apparently our price tag is 60mill on him too.

I had my reservations on Tuchel in the way he handles the market, and if Kimpembe + Ake don't hit the ground running whilst Colwill is shining elsewhere, questions will be asked. No Marina to blame this time.

You just look at the profile of the players we are signing; players that need no development. & you wonder why our current crop of forwards are underperforming. He has zero interest in developing players.

He got his chance as Kounde did not come, but if TT goes to a back 4 he may well decide he is happy with Ake, Kimpembe, Koulibaly, Sarr and Silva. A very short term, Jose like view but possible.

July 13, 20224 yr So Tuchel is asked to win trophies now. If he is asked about players he would want the best kind to get the trophies. Of course super-talented players are assessed carefully. I bet we will put a buy-back clause to his contract. After one or two successful seasons at a lower level Prem team we can buy him back if we need to. I would love to see Colwill to make it here but there are tons of players in front of his playing time.
July 13, 20224 yr So this bloke looked at Chalobah and decided to put him in the squad but Colwill isn't good enough? It's idiotic, I love TT but what a moron

Had either Zouma stayed or Kounde signed I am very sure Trev would have been sold.

July 13, 20224 yr He’s in full win now mode. Why can’t we just bloody loan him for now, he has 4 years left on contracts. Ake deal whilst selling colwill would just sum us up perfectly

July 13, 20224 yr The onus is on Gallagher, Broja, Chalobah, Colwill, Ampadu, Gilmour, Anjorin, Vale and Sharman-Lowe to show that they deserve a place in the squad, or even better a place in the team. If they show "the right stuff" then they will make it. If they don't, they'll either be loaned or sold. Nothing wrong with that - the bar is insanely high at a club like Chelsea, and rightly so. Tuchel has given all nine of them a chance, so it's not fair or correct to say he is anti-youth ... I'll be massively surprised and hugely disappointed if Sarr is retained for the season ahead of Chalobah, Colwill and Ampadu mind you ... :-)
