Solid performance overall but we shouldn't ignore that first part of this half was not so good. 

Newcastle look like a Championship side, that was some awful defending.

One more should do it, I'm fully supporting Kepa but all it takes is a "worldie" strike from outside the box and suddenly its a grind again.

Brilliant first half. Have to say that we’ve defended well high up and haven’t let them get too close to goal many times, which is good when we have kepa on goal. I hope that Newcastle do not start shooting from their area....

CHO has definitely proved me wrong this year, thought he was an ‘also ran’ last year.

just wish he’d trust himself a bit more with shooting. I’ve seen him score goals in youth football for Chelsea and England and the lad has hell of a shot on him.

Newcastle have so far been the worst side we've played this season. 

That was a dominant first half performance I have been waiting to see. Although we were dominant against Burnley and Spurs, the performance today is just top class. Dominating possession as well as looking brilliant offensively. Kovacic has ran the show literally. One of the must underrated players in our team. So much class. CHO is ripping them apart. He has messed up a couple times with his end product but other than that he is looking really good. Newcastle don't know how to deal with him. And Werner scoring. Relieved for him as his performance deserves that. Might go down as his assist but either way if he can get into double figures for goals and assists (which is very realistic with the chances he creates also), he will actually have had quite a stellar season. Get that third goal wrapped up quickly please.

Good first half. Haven’t done anything wrong defensively. Trying to move the ball quicker and we’ve got two goals and could have had more so the chances are  improving with quality and quantity.

Thought it was funny during the V A R check for Timo’s goal that Giroud was laughing telling him he hadn’t hand balled it and not to worry.

I really enjoyed that half ... got a grin wider than Ballack and Blu's ? . My jaws actually ache LOL

I can't see what they are doing. They aren't defending deep, arent defending high, aren't attacking, aren't doing anything.
