We're always like this. I think for a possession based team, we get a lot of the basics of possession based football wrong. Touch, movement and giving away possession cheaply are all something I think we struggle with.

A lot of the boys look frantic on the ball. I’m picturing they are all making Phil Jones like faces with the ball at their feet and a ManU player near them

This is an interesting watch. It's the first team we've faced under Tuchel who actively press us in possession when we're still in our own half. At the moment it feels like there's a bit of a disconnect between the midfield and the front three - Mount is trying but I'd like to see more from Ziyech in terms of carrying the ball forward.

Kovacic is wonderful at breaking the press and setting off the attack when he's alongside Jorginho in games like these.

Kante's passing isn't quick enough to do the same. Unfortunately.

 

Not enjoyable to watch. 

United are pressing us well but what doesn’t help is when we break the press we pass it f**king backwards and have to start again!

Oh come on, why do we keep giving the ball away in our final third

Not sure where the love for Rudy by TT comes from, but he’s sometimes a liability. And Ziyech again not showing up for the match.

Really need a pacey forward if you're playing Ziyech to get in behind. Right now we have no outlet

Ziyech is a not a ball carrier, has no business playing in the middle.
