There is lots of money to lose in the top leagues, so it's all about getting the result any way possible.

I understand that. What pisses me off is the game has been boiled down to deep defensive blocks when managers can't figure out how to outmaneuvre the opponent or kill the momentum through 5 yard passes.

Passing for passing sake is the modern equivalent of long ball football. It's frustrating as hell for the fans watching the game

IMHO. This team still missing Drogba/Costa like player. If we get one hungry physical determined "bull" the rest falls into place. Goals will come not just from him but from other players too.  We haven't had one like that since Costa left. We need that hungry determined "bull" in front.  Giroud, same as Tammy,  a bit ballerinas. We need a "bull" like Lukaku/Halland player.

Not great but I would rather he was on the bench today than not.

Said on the commentary over here he has an ankle knock ruled him out of squad

You could wait a lifetime before another Drogba comes along. Had absolutely everything for me.

Tuchel just said he wasn't picked in his interview.

I think I just heard TT mention Harry MacGyver's quality

Well we've seen that Tuchel has a lot of respect for players who were signed for high transfer fees.

That, or it's similar to when Guardiola praises an opposing manager... usually before beating his team 6-0. (see: Sarri, Howe)

I think we need to do better for sure, that's been a complaint for a while now with our attack. But lets hold our horses a bit here, it's not like we're playing Acrington Stanley, United are a good side, surprisingly.

I never had great confidence going into this game to begin with, I think a point will do but granted we do have to start winning more big games.

I think people are frustrated about the attack because we are far too wasteful when we have the ball.

It's a chore to watch our play and when we finally get to the final third, someone always messes up.

I agree with you except for the Lukaku part. He's the worst ballerina you can get.

We are due another Drogba-like figure

We have become one the most boring Chelsea teams I have ever seen. Sorry, but this is just sh*t to watch. We are basically back to Sarri ball, waiting for those ahead of us to f**k up so we can somehow fluke a top 4 finish. Then when things don't improve next season, the coach gets sacked and we are repeating the cycle all over again. My mood would be drastically different if I could see an outcome different from this, but I just don't see it.

So don’t watch? I don’t mean that provocatively, Scott. If you derive so little joy out of it, why bother?

Time and again, we fail to pass it forward when we have a player making the run. Azpi, James, Mason and Kova all guilty - Azpi the worst. We get the ball on or around the halfway line, a player makes a move to dart into space, begging for a through ball to be played forward - instead time and again the player on the ball chooses the easy option, sideways, 5 yrds, backwards.

Players paid hundreds of thousands/millions per year, and they cant spot a pass, and try to play it.

Utterly boring, safe, dross.

The big difference was that that was one game, this has been 8 dull fests out of 9 since Tuchel arrived.

Well it wasn't, the games at home to Sevilla four days earlier, the game at home to Liverpool (even before 10 men) and the game at Brighton (despite somehow scoring three goals) also fell into that category.

As did many games last season, under Sarri, under Conte, under Mou infact pretty much every Chelsea manager under the Roman era has had a run of boring/controlled games yet I've never seen it become such a "thing" as it is now, especially while the results have been there.

Infact the way Tuchel is approaching things so far is similar to how Hiddink first time round did (with a few exceptions our matches under him were also largely uneventful draws or 1/2 goal wins) yet while he was treated like God TT is having it as some sort of black mark against him.

If you believe that then you're even more of a clown than I had you down for. Junior.

Madlad gets mad when he gets exposed, you're not the first one to say this rubbish that it was "only due to Hazard"... Kiddo ?

Can you believe this guy? The balls on this prick...

“Yep, 100 per cent. [Can you understand why it wasn’t given?] No. Not at all. From here it looked like it might have been a handball by our player but when you see it on the video it’s clear, and it’s taken two points away from us.

“I can’t say [what the referee said to the United players] because that’s not gonna be good for him. [Is that not concerning to you?] Of course it is. [Luke Shaw said the referee told Harry Maguire he didn’t want to give it because there would be controversy]. Exactly. I didn’t say that and I don’t want to cause controversy, but it’s not right, is it?

“It’s all these outside influences... you know, even the VAR talk before the game on Harry. [What are you referring to Ole?] You can read it on the website. That’s cheeky, that’s actually cheeky when they put that on the website. That’s influencing referees, putting pressure on them to give penalties against us.”

If it was this simple then I would never have started watching and supporting Chelsea in the first place. If you have any passion for the sport or club, you don't just suddenly switch off and call it a day.

It's the way the goals are scored.

Lampard at the start of the season played his only game with a back 3 against Man United and we played not to lose - it was a good decision. Now somehow it's a problem.

I didn't mean Lukaku version 1.0(Chelsea) or 1.1(MU). I mean Lukaku version 2.0 (Inter). He has been killing it with Inter lately. Looks like absolute beast often completely unplayable by defenders. I watched some Inter games and he seems like evolved matured player now.

It should have been a pen though right? I mean, CHO hand was up above of his head, in an unnatural position, and the ball hit his hand.

Mr Tickle was just as brazen post match, saying (paraphrasing) "Why did the ref check it, the ball hit the Greenwoods arm, so should have been a foul to us".

It DID hit greenwoods arm, but only after CHO handled it.
