February 28, 20215 yr I'm quite happy we are still unbeaten with Tuchel. I know it's frustrating to watch but it's small steps. Today was never going to be an easy game and ultimately if we go on to finish top 4 as a result of this run then the style we play will be forgotten. Keep the faith lads. We have been making some progress.
February 28, 20215 yr The most entertaining thing for me was watching the geniuses on here freaking out at Tuchel for taking an injured player off.

Now somehow it's a problem. It's a problem because we approach every single game like this. We are in this mindset of being set up not to lose rather than setting up to win. It's a mindset we can't afford to be in right now. We need wins, not safe 0-0 draws. I never thought I would see the day Rafa Benitez's style of football was praised by Chelsea fans.

Mr Tickle was just as brazen post match, saying (paraphrasing) "Why did the ref check it, the ball hit the Greenwoods arm, so should have been a foul to us". It DID hit greenwoods arm, but only after CHO handled it. He put his hand up to try and hold Greenwood off, just as Greenwood did the try and hold CHO. Pretty natural thing to do.

Looks like absolute beast often completely unplayable by defenders. I watched some Inter games and he seems like evolved matured player now. I see it as Serie A defenders can't handle his physicality but that might just be my bias talking.

It wasn't a problem, it was understandable given the form of our attackers and United's danger on the counter (which had us in trouble nearly every time we committed men forward today), just like similar tactics weren't a problem against Sevilla or Liverpool.

No-one is exposed except you! Everyone knows Hazard carried the team that season and won us the Europa and got us top 4. Great that you rate Sarri so highly but the facts are, no Hazard, no top 4 and no cup. It's really THAT simple.

If that was against us, I would be demanding a pen and can understand why Utd feel cheated.

You're just exposed, deal with it like a man or are you still crying like a kid? Conte also had Hazard, we finished top 5 LOL

You are right but I hate the fact that football is reduced to people going out of their way to justify technicalities. The handball rule in the box is far too strict imo. It should be reduced to does using the hand directly stop a goalscoring opportunity? If yes then it's a given. If not then no.

We also don't get top four last season without Pulisic coming up clutch yet instead of being criticized for that Lampard is (rightly) praised for getting the best out of him. Hazard "carried the team" largely because Sarri coaxed his best season yet out of him.
February 28, 20215 yr The detractors of the Stats websites will no doubt be delighted that WhoScored? gave Ziyech 7.6 today ?

That and if it's intentional. If somebody deliberately punches a ball away from that position, then I would expect a penalty to be given ? Hudson-Odoi's handball had no effect on anything really. All it really did was stop the ball hitting the United players arm.

February 28, 20215 yr Think some are being quite harsh on Scott. Our football is boring at the moment. Mostly effective, bit utterly boring.
