Maybe he didn’t want the job and it’s still really early days in Viera’s tenure but I don’t understand why Palace didn’t go for Frank. At least they’d look to attack, they’ve been super defensive today, which is fine you’re away to Chelsea but that only works if you’re actually good defensively. They’ve not been great at the back and offered literally nothing going forward. 
 

Perhaps too early to judge, especially against the Europe Champions but a bit of a strange appointment in my opinion.

I love the players we buy, but there’s just that something special about a player who’s grown up playing for the club and you can tell what it means to them.

Encouraged what I've seen today, albeit this is Palace; we scored more than one and really we should have scored 5 or 6.   Hard to choose a MOTM, all played well today but on his EPL debut my vote has to be young Chalobah, scored a cracking goal and never put a foot wrong all day.

Another good game from Alonso.

I absolutely disagree, Palace  is one job that frank need to avoid. You basically need to fight relegation battle wirh kids, it is going to be very2 difficult

If he was taking Jody, they have previous of bringing through youth successfully, but you may be right - they may have turned it down. I’m just saying it would be interesting to know if Palace had attempted.

People forget that he was fairly sh*t at the start of last season before he got injured. Was at fault for at least 3/4 goals and was present for their 7-2 defeat by villa.

Good enough player but the hype about him way OTT.
