Wow, Watford are running us ragged.

We're missing too many influential players tonight and the likes of Saul and RLC just aren't up to it.

TT HAS to make changes at half-time. Saul is a red card waiting to happen. Get Jorginho and Lukaku on and let's keep the ball for a bit and take the sting out the game and the lively home crowd.

While RLC has had a poor game I really think he needs somebody solid alongside him in a midfield 2. If Jorgi comes on from Saul, I think RLC will look better

Awful half. Our midfield wouldn’t look out of place in Newcastle. They’ve been prepared to have a go, we just aren’t at the races all over the pitch. Hopefully this is the last time we see Saul in a Chelsea shirt, we must have young players who can do a better job.

I’m just grateful to go in at half time level. What a shambles. The midfield especially need a firm kick up the arse at half time.

Don’t expect to see Saul in the second half, in fact I don’t expect to see him in a Chelsea shirt again.
Fear that Mount mightn’t come back out, looked sore going of.

All the protest was because the players feared it might have been a red and sometimes it might have been.

f**kkng hate the Watford players who like to dish it out but roll about with a simple touch.

I'd hook him now and use half time to cancel his loan deal, get him on a dingy back to Italy and maybe shoot his dog out of badness.

I’m not sure what Tuchel was thinking, starting Saul and RLC. They clearly need an experienced head next to them.

No wonder we look abit lost. Should we recall Gilmour and send Saul back to Spain?

yes that would be a win win scenario

I really don't get how an intelligent tactician like TT can't see that picking a starting midfield of RLC and Saul was a recipe for disaster. Barkley must have been really sh*t in training this week ...

You take Barkley all day over Saul. It's harsh but he looks like someone that's won a competition to play. No wonder Athletico wanted rid.

After leaving Saul on the park for the entire first half I am not so sure my comment about us having an interim manager before the end of the season was as tongue in cheek as I believed. If he appears for the second half I will start the Tuchel out thread.

I agree with a comment made earlier that our squad depth isn’t all that. A few injuries and we look bang average.

I feel sorry for Chilwell. Got injured as a title favourite and will return in the battle for fourth.

That was absolutely f**king dreadful. Watford are unlucky to not be ahead. Anyone who said we have the best squad in the league is an idiot.

I know it's our fourth and fifth-choice centre midfielders starting, but I certainly wasn't expecting them to be this non-existent. Considering that, and the total lack of pace from the wing-backs, it is really not surprising that we are struggling to find an out ball.

We have to make a change at half-time. I think we should just accept that this is going to be a ridiculous end-to-end game, bring on Barkley for Saúl and have Lukaku warming up straight away.

This is the worst I’ve seen us play under Tuchel.

We’re playing like Europa League players who know they are 2nd string players and haven’t got the desire to prove they should be a regular starters.

Like the lineup big game for Andreas to silence the talk and Saul a chance at redemption as he's hardly impressed when called upon. If I'm honest this is probably the best front 3 we have movement and finishing wise going based of last season. Lukaku should come on for longer this game and hopefully he's spent enough time watching how we play without him to understand what he must do. Also players still need to adapt to his style we haven't seen enough of that bar a few players.

When Jorginho isn't on the ball he is still instructing others and talking to other players, we clearly miss his conducting type behaviour in this midfield

The excuses have to stop for RLC. He's been around long enough now not to need better players alongside him. It was RLC getting dispossessed that led to the Watford goal. He's not as bad as Saul but then again, is Anyone?!!

We can still win this game but Tuchel needs to act fast. Remove Saul with Jorghi. Move Mount to central. Later might need to remove RLC with Barkley.

At 60 min mark add Lukaku to bully those defenders

RLC needs to cut out the little extras he's not very good at but obviously thinks he is. Takes one step forward and two back always.

At this rate, it is fair to say he'll never be anything more than an average player.

Always trying one too many dribble or holding on to the ball 2 seconds longer. Decision making is absolutely poor.

Saul has been very disappointing. Had really high hopes when he came on loan but seems he is playing without any conviction since his debut horror.

At least he has done it at the very top level, so can be given a pass. Rueben a promising youngster, now a promising middle career player, what more can I say.
